he's right though, you simply can't ignore politics, not even when it's about the world cup. if it wasn't clear till yesterday (it was btw), the armband saga made it obvious that fifa isn't even trying to exclude political decisions, and their timing is horrible too

it's still the world cup so adp has every right to be there

It's not really about his right to be there. Obviously he can be there, if he wants to. It's just that if was as rich and famous as he was, I'd rather not go because there are issues with this World Cup that are deeply troubling.

My point is mostly that you can't just say you should seperate sports and politics. That's not how the world works. And it's not how FIFA operate either.
