dp deserves even more than respect from everyone but do you still think he sells as many jerseys as he used to ?
yes he does, he's one of the most popular players in Japan for example. Say whatever you want, but Pintu has cut his wages when the club has asked it, and Juve still makes profit with him. Not to mention that he's the icon of the ultras... He simply deserves more respect than he is currently receiving.

To say DP has not asked the club to pay him this much is a bit nieve.

But at the end of the day, every player has to earn his wages. Forget whether DP asked for them or not :)rolleyes:) - because he earns so much more than the rest, fans are entitled to expect more from him.
So the point is we shouldn't hate him because he earns this much...

Many times I have asked myself why DP earns so much!

Yes you are right about shirt sales etc, but a player still has to earn his basic wage packet each week.

Yes DP does sell shirts, but people bring up his wages so often because he gets so much - and these people perhaps don't think him worthy of it.
Maybe because he brought many trophy's to this club???

more 'returns' for delpiero. lol. the media always says that. wats that now, the 72nd time?
even if he plays shit one week and scores the next, the article will say,"delpiero is back'. hahaha
he aint god, u cant expect him to play good every week, even zidane has bad games, people simply expect DP to play brilliantly in every game, if he simply plays ok hes deemed a failure, its ridiculous

I don't have figures... But lets asume that he is not selling as he used too let say 5 years ago.. Also remember he is not taking the same wage he was taking 5 years ago.
You still haven't answered the question, is Del Piero the #1 player bringing money to Juventus or not?

or that DP still deserves to be our most paid player ?
**** off Donny, because as a matter of fact, Del Piero DOES deserve to be our most paid player. He makes people want to watch Juventus and he's famous, which makes Juventus famous. Del Piero is great for Juve's market potentials, so economically seen Del Piero DESERVES to be our most paid player.

These days Ale is not my favorite player, but he was before and he is one of the reasons why I love this team so much.
I am really glad that he had such a good game against siena and I saw that fantastice first goal.
Few weeks ago Cappelo said that Ale will thank him later for his time spent on the bench and it seems that is the case. I just hope he will be consistent because we have two very important matches ahead.
But what really bothers me is our captains relationship with Zlatan. They obviously dont like each other and that is bad fot the team(Cappelo should work on this problem). If this continues than one of them will probibly leave which I would hate to happen considering that they are so important to the team.

It's here: the official "let us try anything to convince other forum members that Del Piero is crap"-thread. So I invite Andy, Burke, Zlatan and a lot of other forum members to post all their crap about Del Piero in this thread, instead of polluting every other thread with Del Piero's name.
hey Seven...this thread is damn cool:cool:
I always admire you.........

All I have to say is when Del Piero is playing well, like we have seen the past few weeks, I will not criticise him because he surely does not deserve it. Hopefully he will continue with this good spell because we need him.

Although I do think this thread is a bit suspicious, especially since it was created in the past week, when Del Piero has actually been on form.

Actually I am feeling sad to see this thread in the first place...
Actually, this thread is as much here to praise him as criticise. Your type of post is most welcome too. I'd better warn you though, you'll grow prematurely bitter and grey trying to defend Del Piero from every troll here.

Perhaps it does look suspicious. But you and I both know this discussion has been going on for more than 5 years. Del Piero has returned five times already. Yet we're still waiting for Godot to arrive. So this discussion will still go on, unless Del Piero leaves Juventus.

next thing you are gonna tell me that dp is the future
I will never tell you that. But it seems that there is someone who can said it to you....

Juventus, Giraudo: 'Del Piero Sempre In Bianconero'
Mer 09 Feb, 2:17 PM

(AGI) - Torino, 9 feb.

Sorry Donny. That man seems more informed than us....

I don't know about seven's motive, but it was stuck and made official in a distinctly oppertunistic manner. :) Less cleaning up for us mods, I hope.
