Just got home from watching the game + a night out.

What an experience. I can't believe I got to witness Del Piero scoring that goal on his first home appearance. I was seated just behind him, about 5 metres from the fence. Everyone in the stadium was anticipating that he'd score, and I said to my fiancee "watch this go in the top left corner", and he delivered :touched:

Pity about the result and horrible defending from Sydney FC, but it's so great to see our captain in the flesh :D

Sydney played a much better game overall but their defense is absolute dog shit. I don't know much about their manager but how hard is it to make a group of professional footballers at least a little organised. Plus that doofus with the pony tail at left back sucked a whole lot of balls. A good defense aside, what Sydney lack most is a good no.9. Alex will just never get near the ball when no one up forward is able to trap their stupid long balls, hold it up and pass it off.

The touch, skill and positioning of all the players is also one of their biggest shortcomings. Hopefully that's something that can be improved somewhat.

I woke up like zombie at 8.00, with a feeling that I'm about to watch a goal from Ale, and it happend. Damn, It was so good. Not only the goal, but his touches, his spins, all he did was magical. But the rest is just frustrating, and Ale looked really upset too. His team mates are no better than us, the forum members, and sometimes it's really embarrassing to watch. I feel really bad for Ale when I watch him play in such level, he deserves much more. To watch this legend play in such a poor team is really wrong.

They can't do basical things like stoping the ball. The defence is a joke. They can't build an attack. It doesn't look like football, but like people that run and run and there's a ball interrupting them. They looked a bit better when Crook moved Emerton to the midfield, I don't understand why he didn't start the match there. Next week, if he doesn't start with Emerton-Culina in the midfield, he should get fired. It's impossible to watch this team, I can't even imagine how they could gets shots on goal without Ale.

Anyway, it was wonderful to finally celebrate Ale's goal after such a long time. It was just a fantastic Fk, and there were few more magical moments from him out there, but it's really sad that he has nobody to play with. I hope he'll get at least 1 direct FK every match, cause that's his best chance to score (I liked the fact that the wall doesn't try to cheat and come closer in the A-league. It stands where the ref says). BTW this Tiago guy from the Jets is fucking cunt, I hope he'll break his leg soon. Next week it's a Derby, and it must be the first win.
