Not nearly as much coverage down here, probably because AFL bogans hate football (soccer) more than NRL fans do and he's not signing for Victory or Heart
NRL is massive here, but its more of a TV sport, people dont turn up to the games like you Victorians do for the GAYFL clubs.

If you ever go to an AFL game there is literally not a place in the entire ground where you can sit that's not out of earshot of some bogan that got smashed on 3 beers having a go at the ump or players every 2 minutes.
The EPL is really big in Melbourne too, plenty of wogs that follow EPL and barely Serie A or any other leagues. There'd be a decent amount of Serie A fans but not close to the number of people whose favourite league is the EPL. You think they'd all be excited about someone as great as ADP coming but no, a lot of them reckon he's too old or crap

I just have to laugh at NRL and AFL diehards, their sports are provincial sports that outside of Australia (and Northern England and a few tiny Pacfiic nations in RL's case) no one gives a flying fuck about. This is a massive reason why their fans have a massive chip on their shoulders towards football. Fuck the smelly bogan cunts.
