Well, here's Di Marzio again:

"Nothing is official with Sydney, as says Stefano Del Piero. There was a video conference this morning, and the sides agreed to take it to the next level and meet. Ale like the idea of being Beckham of the A-league, and they agreed to meet next week, but there are still other options. Ale awaits offers from England or any CL clubs, then he'll consider Sydney".

I find it remarkable that it's them going over to Italy and not Alex going over to Sydney.. Surely he should want to see the stadium and the city?

I get to watch Alessandro Del Pieo every second weekend live...U Mad?

Watching a great player in a sub par competition means nothing. I saw him play against AC Milan, surrounded by the world's best. I'm sorry, but if I was in Sydney and the tickets were a wee bit expensive, I wouldn't buy them just for the sake of watching Ale. I loved to see him play live in the Serie A, where his goals and plays mattered.

You must feel good inside.

Not everyone is as lucky as you, why such a low blow?

I would love to go every sunday and watch him play, no matter what league it is, as long as he's playing.

I'm just telling the truth, mate. I'd rather pay good money to see a Chelsea-Tottenham game than to watch Del Piero shine for friggin' Sydney FC. Who cares about the A-league?
