Looking at the way Conte plays from his fromations and tactics I would say we'll need only 1 world class striker. I don't think any of Vucinic, Quag, Matri can offer more than Ale or have more quality. If Conte wants to play the age card then that's something else, to me if Del Piero says he can still play at the highest level then I believe him just like he has shown each time he stepped on the pitch this year.

Scoring against Roma, Milan, Inter, Lazio and almost against Napoli + an assist in his few mins he was given says it all.

I somehow agree with you, if he's not on their plans and he's not wanted then I totally understand if Ale is preparing himself for a departure. Even though my head tells me Conte did what Agnelli wanted. You can't play Boriello more than Del Piero and put him ahead of him unless you're fvcking stupid coach and Conte isn't stupid.

:
I think it was this way. Del piero loves juve, and he would never hesitate tp stay if the club keeps telling him year after year that we want him to continue here. I think all of this is also the result of the 2 last disastrous seasons, when delpiero and gigi included in the team, we played our worst football in the last 20 years. I dont blame Del piero if he took this as a sign of "i must let the team go on, as it is clearly my time to to go".
But now is a totally different story... as we are becoming a magnificent team once again... and the future looks promising. Im pretty sure that he is eager to go USA, but also the idea of one last year of CL doesnt sound bad at all.

The problem is... that is pretty sure a world class striker or 2 will come. If none of our strikers leaves, or just one,,, Del piero will have a very limited playing time, much less than this season. And thats the only thing that really could make him decide to go on and play abroad.

Im passionate about this, and i want him to stay as a fan of the player and what he means to all of us, but deep inside im also aware about agnelli and marotta´s comments, about the overhaul that our striking line will have, and about his chances in playing for us next season continually.

Im aware that the chances of ale staying are very slim logically.... but if there could be a way of ale staying, playing ocaccionally with us, making it to the CL and have fun like always... then so be it.

He's going to leave on top either-way because he's Del Piero. He's bigger than this limited little boy Andrea Agnelli and his assistant Marotta. It's the way he's leaving that wont be on top.
I agree and I was not implying anything about his character in the least. I just want him to resign in the same year he won a scudetto and in addition to this not have to suffer going through another season of whether or not he will play in a game. It is really not fair the man who spent his entire career at Juventus to be treated like this. Do you as a fan want to see your captain like this? I mean understand why no one wants him to go but at the same time is it really what is best for him?

In addition to the discussion from above, I want to say that our subs this year were really of little influence and more often than not they didn't change the game. Apart from the latest Del Piero game changing moment(s) I only remember Giaccherini adding something to our game but without directly or indirectly winning us matches.
Anyway, our subs scored 8 goals in serie A this year. Most of them were rather meaningless, like Vidal's goal for 3:0 against Parma, Quag's for 3:0 vs Napoli and Padoin's for 5:0 vs Fiorentina. One was a game winner by Matri against Lecce, but Matri replaced the injured Quag in the 23rd minute so it wasn't a late goal from a sub.
Two goals were important to secure us the win (Giac against Atalanta for 2:0 and Del Piero vs Inter for 2:0).
Only two goals were really important: Matri for 1:1 against Milan and, of course, the last goal Juve scored-Del Piero vs Lazio.

We needed a Zalayeta in the games we drew :D

Del Piero should leave in June with 2 brand new stars and 2 trophies -- that's the best finale, he came with Italian double, he left with Italian double winning everything in between, he came with 2, left with 4 stars.
Now that's the ultimate perfect ending of this magnificent relationship, and that's how I want us to remember him, I want the last image of DP in Bianconero to be him lifting a trophy in Rome, not saying goodbye after a second season in a row warming the bench...

He should leave in June, he should leave on TOP.

PS fuck peelan and napoli, God, forbid they deny us this, I'd go batshit... and dedicate my whole life to hating them!
As much as i want him to remain at Juve forever i agree with this. If we win the title and the coppa or even one then it would be a good farewell.. he has scored against everyone of the big clubs this season it would be a good ending to this fairytale.. next season could be even worst for him. He would be happy in America and thats the main thing if he is happy then i am happy but if i find out that it was his wish to remain il forever hold a grudge against the club i love.

Better burn out than fade away (*cough* Totti, Maldini, Zanetti *cough*). Raul did the right thing.
:agree:

Basically we win the double i dont mind him leaving with his head held high... if we dont win the double he must stay and leave on a high or after getting to play in the champions league again.

I kinda agree. Just wanted to remind some who Del Piero is and who's these two Agnelli and his Marotta are.
