Can we close this thread? Its going to be way too much to handle in 2 months to see it move from here. Almost overwhelmed emotionally right now seeing these pics. I cant imagine this thread after he's gone.

Hope Agnelli sees the light. I know Milan got past Paolo Maldini after 20 years, but Del Piero's role as a player at our club was perhaps the more enchanting and fanatastical of the two because of the glamour attached with being a forward. The sense of loss is not hitting some people yet. It's going to be a huge void to overcome unless we win something big enough to distract us momentarily.

Was terrible today. It was obvious he lacked match fitness today, but he is such a small part of his former self I can't do anything else but agree with Conte using him so little.

terrible and capitano can't come in the same scentence.
Honestly for me it is hard to watch him anymore. Him having the ball and making something useful is becoming a magical event in itself. The only forward he is better currently is Borrielo, and that is not that much of an achievement. Only thing he still got left in him is is the desire, passion and giving more 100% for the team, but it becomes clearer and clearer that it's not enough.

Today he was really bad, considering his standards.

That's why I wanted him to leave when he was on the high and go play in some emirates or usa, not have a horrible last season like he is having now.

Yep. Shadow of himself. Brilliance is few and far between

you all dont get it, chances of starting less tan 10% chances of playing a full half less than 40%. Its not in the cards anymore for him or the club. Even if by a miracle he signed for another season it would be just as a stop gap here and there to try and keep him on the club to raise one more scudetto
