This thread = DP fans vs Juve fans

Despite Del Piero being my favourite player ever, I'll still love Juve more than any player. Conte is putting the needs of the team first and I'm sure Del Piero knows this. Although, I wouldn't say putting him on for 1 minute is the right thing to do but starting every game wouldn't be right either.

Let's just hope he'll get full or almost full games in the coppa to cheer everyone up around here.
:sergio:

Some are still missing the main point or are pretending to miss.

I say how the treatment itself is not fair and doesn't suit Del Piero's legacy - They respond back how well we're doing in the league.
I say you can't play/field Del Piero for 1min, he's a special case - They say that everyone is equal in the team.
I say I'm not asking for Del Piero to start - They decide who's the faux fan and who's not.
I say Ale should decide to leave whenever he wants - They say how legends were before Ale and that legends come and go.

One can't be this limited and ignorant, so I'll go with the 2nd option, which is, pretending to miss the point.

Again, who's saying he should start?

Not in public though, how could anyone know that you are so tough defending him, next time do it in public ;)
I didn't get this.

The 1 min thing is an awful treatment. Even in my lithuanina shitty league, no one puts a senior (senior, not even a legend) at these times, becuase it is considered disrespectful.

You're wrong, Ražanauskas always comes in until 1 minute is left :D

This is how much Del Piero played this season:

1. Parma - Starter, played until minute 67
2. Siena - Subbed in in minute 76 (played 14 minutes+added time)
3. Bologna - Starter, played 45 minutes in the first half, replaced after Vucinic's red card.
4. Catania - Subbed in in minute 72 (played 18 minutes+added time)
5. Milan - Unused Sub
6. Chievo - Subbed in in minute 70 (played 20 minutes+added time)

After the Chievo match we changed to 4-3-3 and for Juve it turned out great, but for Del Piero it meant even less playing time:

7. Genoa - Subbed in in minute 89 (played 1 minute+added time)
8. Fiorentina - Unused Sub
9. Inter - Subbed in in minute 84 (played 6 minutes+added time)
10. Palermo - Subbed in in minute 81 (played 9 minutes+added time)
11. Lazio - Unused Sub
12. Napoli - Subbed in in minute 92 (played 2 minutes of added time)

The formation change is the main reason for the little time Del Piero is getting, but one can notice that the timing when DP started playing less coincides with the time when Agnelli announced that it's DP's last year.

Lol as if we got a good result against Genoa ;)

To me it's only and only the Agnelli's announcement. 4-3-3 turning to be the way to go is why no complaints is justified though but it's not why Ale was suddenly dropped out of the first team like that, warming whole halves, getting seconds.

Come on, you can't really believe that Ale is playing so little minutes because of Agnelli's announcement, i don't agree with using him for 2 minutes either, but Del piero can't play in the formation we are playing right now, maybe he can but he won't be as effective as Matri/Vucinic. He can't play on the wing, and he can't play as a lone striker, that's the only reason why Ale isn't playing extended minutes and Alen stats are showing it.

Del Piero was dropped out of the first team long before we changed to 4-3-3. To be precise, 3 matches before we changed to 4-3-3.

But after we changed to 4-3-3 Del Piero became even less needed, at least in that formation since there is little space for him to play there, unlike in a 4-4-2.

So yes, Agnelli's comments of course, but the formation change is also a reason why he started getting less and less playing time.

P.S: Check Krasic too. He too started playing less (or better: none) minutes after the formation change. Actually, it goes for all the wingers bar Pepe. They would have gotten more playing time in 4-4-2 than in 4-3-3. And they all did get more playing time in 4-4-2 than they do in 4-3-3 with Vidal, Pirlo and Marchisio all available. Without Agnelli announcing anything about them. ;)

Krasic sucks, that's the difference

Are you trying to twist my words or I wasn't clear in my last post? Why do you bring examples of nobodies like Krasic, Elia, Giac, etc?

As I have stated for hundreds of times, I'm not complaining about him not getting more playing time, I have not and I won't. The team is playing well, the system is functioning perfectly and changing the winning team is stupid. I said Agnelli's announcement is the only reason why Ale "was dropped out of the first team LIKE THAT, warming whole haves, getting seconds". I'm talking about the way he is being treated. He is not a player you would sub in to waste the last few seconds, he is not a player you would ask to warm up for an hour only to let him in for two minutes. It didn't happen even when Capello was in charge. Apart from Agnelli's announcement I see no other convincing reason for that. It clearly showed against Genoa (first match we played after Agnelli's announcement) when the whole stadium was so excited and anxious about seeing Ale on the pitch even as a sub.

:D

Are YOU trying to twist my words?

I was telling you why the ~20 minutes he was getting, aren't there anymore. It has less to do with Agnelli and more with the 4-3-3.
Now, the 1 minute he's getting is anyone's guess and it could have to do with Agnelli. As it was repeated many times before, better 0 minutes than 1 or 2 minutes. But Ale didn't lose his starting spot or his ~20 minutes because of Agnelli. He lost them primary due to the formation change.

And I'm not complaining why those 20 minutes are not there :)

Only if you could read
You replied to my post with the playing time and I still don't understand what was your point there
You said it's not the 4-3-3 and it's "only and only" Agnelli's announcement. You were obviously disagreeing with me but fuck me if I know what did you disagree with.
