So after all, Alex did not have an idea that Andrea will announce that in a small regular shareholders meeting.
There was no agreement as some people suggested.

This is even more upsetting now.
Not only this, but the fact that our president lacks class and professionalism, among other things.

:depressed:

I can't believe it came to this...He gave his all for us, stayed with us when he could have easily walked out.....We as a club should have done the same..

Not like this he won't. Would you stay at Sir Alex Ferguson's house, if one day before your departure date, he told his wife that you were going to be leaving soon, and she needn't worry about your meals for the day?

Del Piero: am I upset? A little bit.

Alessandro Del Piero admits he was “a little upset” when Juventus announced his departure. “Usually these things are handled differently.”
President Andrea Agnelli surprised many this week when mentioning in passing during a shareholders’ meeting that “this will be Del Piero’s last season with Juventus.”

His contract does not expire until June 30, 2012, so there was controversy over the lack of fanfare for someone who has been at the club since 1993.

“Usually these things are handled differently,” confessed Del Piero on Striscia La Notizia.

“Despite all this, there is no need to clarify anything with the President.

“Now I will focus only on the team, as there is time to think about my future. I have not made any decision yet.”

Del Piero was then asked if he was upset or had been disappointed by the announcement.

“A little bit.”

The captain is likely to continue his playing career for one more year, though while Milan and his hometown club Padova have shown an interest, he seems set to go abroad to America’s MLS.

Happy Andrea? Now go play waxy waxy in your pink little frock.

This man is class.

They had not even talked about it with Del Piero. They just sent him the message like cowards. Don't even want to imagine Ale's reaction when he heard the news, right at the same time others heard it. Really sad.

I'm really embarrassed to have such a president for my beloved club :depressed
Is that how you treat the legend of all legend in Juve's history?!!!

And to think that Baldini said "Totti" can play 4-5 more years and not with 1 mil/year makes me :sergio:

Fans must protest and Alex should stay for the fans not for this sorry excuse of Agnelli member :(

Fans won't do shit. It's up to Ale. He must perform, Juve must win something, and they will offer him another contract if the rumors about them willing to get rid of Ale for good ain't true.

I'm so sad. It's a shame. Ale is a big part of this club's entity, disrespecting him will defame the club's name and image.
