Alessandro Del Piero has pledged his future to Juventus regardless of renegotiations. “I’ll sign a blank contract, the last of my career.”
The captain’s current deal expires at the end of the season and a new draft has not yet been drawn up, but he moved to reassure fans it was only a formality.
“I do care to point out that my ties to this jersey and to my fans cannot be measured in numbers,” he wrote on his official website, alessandrodelpiero.com.
“I signed my first Juventus contract blank, and I will sign blank the last contract of my career wearing this jersey.
“A profound love for football, the Juventus jersey and team's fans have been always the reason and engine of my career.
“Not money: I've earned a lot in my life and I could have earned even more, playing somewhere else if I accepted the offers made to me numerous times, even in the latest period.
“I've talked to the President, not about the financial aspects, but about my will to play also next season, about my determination, professionalism, my passion, my wish to win more, the wish that has been always within me, from the Viareggio tournament to the World championship, let alone Serie B.”

Del Piero has been on a wage-cut ever since Calciopoli and he never ever made an issue or a problem out of this. Mind you, he could have earned much and much more somewhere else.
Another reason why I'm proud Juve fan
, having Del Piero is simply the best thing.the man never bitched around his situation past the years, people begged lippi and donaldoni to get him to the nt making petitions and stuff and he only said that he will be there if he will be called...oh and the moments when the crowd start chanting his name when he enters the stadium or when he's warming up are just
