I was shaking like mad after Grosso scored so I grabbed a glass to pour some water and as I was drinking he scored. So I let go of the glass but caught it real quick. My heart was beating like 200 bpm. :D

Amazing news, great to have him around for one more year. It's essential to have the greatest player ever to play for the team and a true legend of the game to have a chance playing in the new stadium. Del piero can still play at high level, and he would be a great help for us next season too.
When I think about Del piero, I always remember that goal against Mexico in 2002, the way he celebrated :touched:, you could tell he was feeling like on the top of the world. That goal came after two average tournaments for him in 1998 and 2000, where the whole hope of the nation was on his shoulders, but he couldn't deliver due to many issues and was critisized heavily by media and etc, in 1998 he got injured before the cup, and 2000 he was still on his way back from that big incident in Udinese. That goal meant alot to him, so it meant alot to me too. Alessandro Del piero, you are my hero, captain and only captain. I love you

The moment Gila got the ball and started to move into the middle, I knew Ale is about to come from the left. So I shouted like insane:"Passsssssss!!!!!!Passssssssssssssssss!!!!!" even before I saw Ale on the screen. The he came from the left, I shouted even louder, and he got the ball. and in the moment the ball hit the net, my house exploded. My head was just few cm from the ceiling, I jumped and screamed like I never did, before or after. It was 1200, 1230 AM in Israel, but people kept calling me to congragulate me like I was the one who scored the goal. Family, Friends...It was amazing. I was celebrating for like 45 mintues, then when i got little relax, I realized there's another show on TV, I was expecting highlights, interviews, but I didn't notice 45 mintues just passed...I didn't even watched the replay, i was celebrating, jumping, running around, shouting :D

And of course I wore Del Piero shirt (italy).

What a day...The biggest celebration ever. Never forget :touched:

Great post. Except that in Euro 2000 he was extraordinary apart from the two chances he missed in the finals.

Indeed. There are two commentators, I feel butterfly in my stomach when they praise Ale, they do it from the heart and the way they respect him is class.

I see your point. I remember that game against Sweden, good performance there. He was critisized heavily after that France match though, and people forgot all about his performances in earlier stages. People tend to forget all the great things you do once you hit rock bottom, and that France match was devastating! I didn't talk to anybody for a couple of days after that match! I cried alot because of Alex
