Actually, there are readers of this thread who don't get too involved and the debates (lets call them debates) actually get to some (And I ask them to at least leave their names when they write me a comment ), but for the bunch of 6-7 loudest writers in this thread there was never the option "convince". Don't ever try that.

As a matter of fact, I agree with most of the things you said. Not only Sab, I too said the same things and saw flaws in Diego that many others refused to see.

But this particular team we had in August (with all players in right places, without injuries) looked ok to me and looked better with Diego as a SS, or at least it looked better with Diego instead of Quagliarella. Imo, it looked better with Diego instead of this current Del Piero too.
So it's not about if Diego was capable of bringing trophies to Juve (I personally never saw that quality in him) but if the team was stronger with or without him.

I think that we stood better chances for a top 4 spot with him than without him. I thought you shared the same opinion, that's why I asked you why do you show joy that Diego was sold.

The joy is only trolling for those who are saying that Del Piero forced Diego out and because of the big fuss that is being made out of it. In fact I am not happy nor I am sad, I am totally indifferent. When Diego was sold, I was shocked then I looked at the market and saw that there was the possibility to sign one of many available forwards/support strikers that would have done a lot better than Diego. Robinho, Vucinic, Benzema, Rafael, Cassano...but we got Qaugliarella instead. Why? Because he was easier to get, cheaper and demands less wages. It was a gamble that I am somehow against but at the same time I like Quag so I am hoping he would succeed.

IMO, the only mistake in the sale of Diego is not buying a replacement.

It wasn't the horrible tactics in those last 2 months of Ranieri that made us almost loose a secure 2nd spot, it was the players on pitch that just didn't fight for our colors.

Camo was especially disgusting (still a legend though ). Del Piero was almost as disgusting as Camo. Trez couldn't keep his mouth shut for being benched (still a legend, Trez boy ). "one of the main reasons" i am not a revisionist, i have said this many times. I didnt qualify ranieri heroir nor a saint(hoori's), but i call it like it is he is a class act.

Exactly. We were going to lose on a CL spot, everyone here wanted Ranieri out and noone was even mentioning that Ranieri was losing on the locker room or that Del Piero had made the other players not to follow the coach. It was the right time to sack Ranieri and our board back then made a good decision. However, unfortunately, Ciro became a permanent coach even though he was firstly hired as in interim one. He wasn't still up for managing a team which still had lots of problems. He was too inexperienced for the job. Ranieri at the same time was doing wonders at Roma so people started regretting his departure, translating everything he said into whatever they wished. The guy never claimed that Del Piero was the reason he got sacked. But why shouldn't he have if it was the truth?

If Ale had an influence on other players, they all must know very well about it. Many of them left Juve since then and I'm sure some of them felt that they weren't treated very well at Juve. Why none of them came to say the truth about what was going on in the locker room? Most importantly, isn't it way too risky for a player to show his true colors to other players many of which might not be as a saint as Ranieri was to keep it as a secret? For controlling the locker room however he needed to show the other players who he actually was, didn't he?

dont trivialize valid questions with exaggerations and over the top comparisons i may watch a game from the moon and i can still call an offside that the ref in the stadium cant see. I have watched over 90% of the games this guy played since he first started, i believe you were 2 or 3 then, i defended him when they called him a choker said his career was done on 2000 i will also still defend him when unreasonable charges are levied against him. however theres enough evidence to at least ask the questions without being labeled a "DP hater" I have no motives to diss him as you said it yuourself one cant be a juve fan and dislike Alex.
