In less than 45min in Europa League, Del Piero scores a stunning goal and assisted the winning goal few hours ago and still some want him to either retire or sit on the bench without evaluating his matches and addition to this team.

This 36years old (almost) works harder than any youngster in this team, puts his soul and heart in every single game, saves our matches and is still giving a show that every single fan seeks in this game.

Like Andries said page back, I think sometimes, one should just shut the fuck up when it's particularly about Ale. Admire him or STFU.

You gotta love the new Suns :juventus:

DP in the avatar, talking good things about Ale...didn't you use to be the VicCB of this thread few months ago? :D
I was never against Del Piero, DP has always been one of my favourite players, just check the info on my profile. But that was what people thought just cause I wanted this team to play a 4-2-3-1/4-3-3 with wingers and one striker and DP didn't have a place in that. But since Del Neri came in, I knew that he won't play a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-3 and personally I think Del Piero is the perfect player for our 4-4-2.

Also, I said something about DP only thinking about his goals which was probably something I didn't have to say but I was kinda angry at that time after we lost everything against Siena and the only thing I saw at that time was DP and his family making these crazy t-shirts about how many goals he had although the team was crap.

When his family prepared those jerseys, they had no idea we were going to play like that in our own stadium. It was supposed to be a memorable day against a very poor team, with Ale starting the game and chances for him to score were big. When Ale scored two goals in the opening 10 minutes (correct me if I'm wrong) we couldn't have even imagined what happened in the rest of the game.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it was some dude named Pietro, or Del Petrol, or something like that, who assisted yesterdays goal... :D

I think he likes the bench.
He's been the ultimate super sub for us so far... and the consummate professional.

I'm not sure it's possible for a player to have more class than Alessandro Del Piero.

I like his role as an impact sub. Makes sure he uses all of his stamina in 20 minutes or so and is a good back up in case Diego is having a crappy day.
