Here's a reality check, you think Del Piero is not a great player, Millions of people see/look at him as one of the greatest Italian and world-wide players. You don't count in this case. You're a tiny drop in the ocean.

If Maradona, Pele, Zidane(a player you look up to), Van Basten, Koeman, Figo, Platini, Raul, Ronaldo, Muller etc let alone coaches have all praised him and consider him as one of the greats then your opinion surely counts as a fart in a dark valley.
LOL, you can appeal to authority all you want, but statistically there's billions of people out there who don't give a shit about Del Piero, so I'm on the winning team. :p

Look, it's not that I hate Del Piero or whatever, but I don't see his supposed greatness. Despite the stats his play is not mesmerizing, that's why I mentioned the last 3 year bit.

Even though I like other type of players better, I don't mind Del Piero when he's producing the goods, the problem is he didn't last year and showed a steep decline in his physical form and people still hail him as if he were god, allah bramah, buddah and jaweh's love child.

Thats why Zidane was in his shadows in the mid to late 90s. Nothing to take of Zidane, he is a fantastic player and one of my favorite of all time. But its a fact that Del Piero did to Juventus much more than Zidane even if you just count the period the two were at the club.
I don't doubt, actually I'm sure he wasn't around when they were both playing in Turin. I'm not sure when he started following Juve/Del Piero but it doesn't seem that long.

You know what sickens me the most.. I can understand Non-Juventini hating Del Piero for all the misery he had shown them throughout the years, from those crazy free kicks to the genius assists to Trezeguet. BUT I cannot tolerate a so called Juventino who does not show the respect and does not show appreciation to Del Piero.
That's why I think he started following or cheering for the club last night and not long time ago. FFS, I even doubt if he's aware of Ale's records at the club.

:sergio:....and he calls himself a Juve fan.

Hasn't anyone provided you with a decent Messi forums? Or C. Ronaldo?

Messi, C. Ronaldo, Maicon, Evra, Molinaro, Miccoli etc... the fast players you know.
I've been following Juve since I'm 14 or so (I'm 26 now). I can't believe you mentioned Molinaro and Miccoli in the same sentence as the others btw. Fascinating. :p

Mind blowing fact though, not everyone thinks like you and being a Del Piero fan is not a prerequisite for being a Juventus fan. For example, Zlatan is a mercenary cunt, but I would have liked to keep him in Juve and preferred him to Del Piero when he was around.

They're fast no? At least they can match up with your speedy legs since you run faster than the likes of Alex. Speedy Gonzales.

It just doesn't work, you can't hate on Del Piero and support Juve. You can convince yourself but you can't convince me or anyone else.

Yeah...and you accuse me of being thick.

I guess I missed the Azurri7 entrance exam to be a Juventino. I much preferred Nedved, Zidane, Canna in his good Juve years and Buffon. I really liked Del Piero in his good years, but I don't like him now and he was never the only reason I am a Juventino.

Now more than ever, I want him to be in the starting 11.

Do it, Del Neriiii.

So lets say for your sake that we are delusional.. What about the 60+k attendance at Santiago Bernabeu (which one of them was Maradona) who gave him a standing ovation (second time in history), are they also delusional and blind? That was less than 18 months ago.

If you care about Del Piero more than Juve, for sure, you can do that.

I watched his 2007/2008 goals btw. He still had some pace and some of them were really nice goals. There were a lot of poacher goals and penalty kicks in there though, hardly amazing play but he was effective. I still would have liked a faster, more skilled player then but I didn't mind him.

Thats not an exam. If the captain of the team, who is the lead scorer and highest appearance of all time for your club who has given so much to the club and was the first to say I won't go anywhere and stayed with the club during the tough times. Getting the team out of trouble. Who happens to be an absolute footballing genius and a great talent. A true example to all players on and off the field. The first to show up in training and the last to leave. Always working hard. A player that truly represents what this club is all about, passion, dedication, respect and sporting competitiveness.
Then I am sorry, yes you are not fan of this club. You just like the idea of following a great team like Juventus but you really have no idea what this club is all about.
