Besides, Del Piero is hardly the type of guy to leave Juventus in an unexpected way, if at all. There's no way he's going to leave just like that.

he'll never do something like that...once he quits Juve, it's over.
He never said that, actually come to think of it he always said the opposite like he likes the MLS, the U.S,..etc. I think he'll play for another club outside of Europe before he finally retires.

To go back to the previous point, 'Del Piero wants to play every game'. Exactly which players don't want to play every game? If they don't want to play every game they shouldn't be at the club. Having a passion to play is a merit, not a hindrance to the team. It's the managers job to choose the players that deserve to play each game and manage all the players at the club, not blame players for wanting to play. It's one of the most ridiculous comments Ciro could have made, it's diminishing his reputation further. If he's too weak to bench the players he has to, it's his problem.

Absolutely.

Still, there must be a reason why Ciro mentioned it, no? Why would he mention such a thing at all if there isn't something else behind it?

Ferrara kinda meant that he "had to" field Ale even when he was not fit. This totally shows how incompetent he was as a coach. Alex wants to play no matter what, right? If you, as a coach, let an out of form player to start no matter what you've got to be fired immediately. I love it how he is trying to put the blame partly on Del Piero while in fact this is only his own fault if what he says is true.

Exactly. Of course Del Piero wants to play, the manager is the one who needs to tell him he's not fit or doesn't deserve to play if the manage believes that. Then the manager will be judged on his decision. I don't think Capello had a problem benching Del Piero. The issue is the same as it is with every player at the club, they should be hungry to play every game but then the manager's decision is final.
