Juventus captain Alessandro Del Piero could follow Fabio Cannavaro to Dubai club Al-Ahli this summer according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Yesterday it emerged that Cannavaro had signed a lucrative two-year contract with the Red Knights amid reported interest from Napoli and Milan.
Al-Ahli President Abdullah Saeed Al Naboodah is keen to attract more star names to generate sponsorship money and interest in the United Arab Emirates Football League.
La Gazzetta dello Sport understands Del Piero would be offered a three-year deal worth around €2m a season.
He would also be entitled to a villa on the Emirates golf course, a luxury car and plane tickets to return home once a month as well as €500,000 for every 20 appearances.
Del Piero's entourage is apparently giving the offer serious thought, as it's far superior to that put forward by the New York Red Bulls.
However, Del Piero's wish is still to conclude his career with Juventus.
