07.02.2010 Champions zone

It is really difficult to add something to what have been already said, considering the period we are going through right now and being watched by all. Making an effort to find something positive before going back to training, preparing the match against Genoa on Sunday, we can only have a look at the ranking table to see that Champions League – even if through the insidious preliminary level crossing – is only three points far. So, compared to last week, one point less.

But, I want to repeat, it’s all about making an effort. A necessary effort, because at this moment it is really important to set the targets, to stay focused at least at one aspect that gives you an energy to try to change the situation.

The point earned in the match against Livorno can’t satisfy us, on the contrary. Like I can’t be satisfied with my performance.

But now let’s just set the target – Champions zone – and let’s try to get there as soon as possible. From this point of view, everything is still to be played and we mustn’t lose an opportunity to get back on the track as a leading team.

Del Piero: Enough talking, we have to qualify for the Champions League

“The moment we are experiencing is there for everyone to see and it is difficult to add anything to what we have already said,” he told Tutto Sport,

“If you really want to try to find something positive before retuning to training with a view to the match against Genoa on Sunday, we look at the standings and see that the Champions League, albeit through the tricky transition from the preliminaries, is only three points away.”

“The point of Livorno be satisfying, in fact, as I was not happy with my performance. But now we set that goal, the Champions League and trying to get there as soon as possible."
