Even the majority of the Juventus fans thinks he's finished. He has won everything, scored most goals for this club and played most games in our jersey. He is not that good anymore and he has nothing more to prove. Its just time to think ahead for this club and that seems to be the general opinion among the fan. I just don't want him to end up like Nedved last season where everybody just wanted him to call it a day.

I don't think it's right to push Del Piero towards retirement. But what we should be doing is planning ahead and giving the youngsters a shot, or finding potential replacements. I really do believe Seba should get a decent run in the team in DP's role of creating on the left side. Now is the time deploy Seba under Alex's guidance, but folks at the club appear to not care about the future.

well i can't believe they say that...the season we're having ain't dp's fault...last season's performance in the ucl was thanks to him, and now they forget?...if dp is finished, amauri can't even walk..after trez he was the most useful player this season (speaking of strikers of course)

DP's form and overall physical ability would lead one to believe that he is on his way out of the game, not just speculation. It's a fair concern at his age.

There's a difference wanting him not to start in the 1st 11 and wanting him to retire.

I think whoever wants Del Piero to retire is a douche and ignorant.

I don't demand a starting place for Alex, never did. But so long he can play I never rule him out and underrate him.

Well, like Alen said before, no body can defend Amauri. He can't score now and he also made an interesting point in his thread. But it's still just a theory.

Del Piero still adds a lot here and he should not retire just yet but some are over-reacting when they praise him for everything he does. Like yesterday, some were defending him. He was better than Amauri, but still bad. Like the rest of the team.

Sometimes you gotta put him aside if it's for Juve's sake.

of course i mention amauri because i can't understant one's bashing and saying that he is finished...it's like saying 1 year ago that zdenek is terrbile, but hey..no word about moli. I can't understand this anger and the changes in the fans heart because the man was injured a long period..and came back in a historic moment for juventus. He can't save us anymore, but next to some actual clowns that are gettin the 1st team he tries to do sth..and sometimes succedes .. Oh, and btw he is our captain..you can't let him rot on the bench to start amauri and ciro..
I accept the fact that he needs to be put aside, but only when there are better options..for now he's teh best juve has in that sector.
