The man hasn't played yet 10min this season and you don't want him to start? On what bases are you judging him? Because we won 5-1 last night, what if we draw on Saturday or clinch a tough win? Please...

Rab,

I did not judge him, my argument is, if the team is playing well and winning then it should stay the way it is, regardless who is on the bench.

I can probably assume what you are going to say, but I dont agree. Giovinco,Diego should be starting ahead of Del Piero this season. Sorry. I think we need to look to the future someday.
Someday, not today.
Del Piero can always add something to the team even when he's of form.
He's our best player.
We need to bring him in together with Gio and Diego. Most of our best games last year were when he and Gio were together on the pitch. Now imagine Gio, Ale and Diego.

Ferrara will not play all three together. There is not a formation to suit them all playing together.

Of course, but there's no way to tell right now if this team/formation is going to play well till the end of the season, it's our first really impressing match and I'm not too sure we will be performing again the same every single week. Out of 10matches this season, 8 or 9 of these matches to say the least needed Del Piero, a leader upfront who can change the game, the man can change the whole game from a single freekick.

Fact is, my friend, we suffered a lot without Del Piero. You can't imagine how happy and glad I was for the way we played last night, but it's not as easy as you think. Del Piero's presence on the field is too important, specially when we return back to CL.

He has more to give that is for sure. In no way am I doubting his ability, I'd just rather see other players getting more playing time this season.

^ Stop trolling, dude :D
Please, how am I trolling? I can continue this in another thread if one wishes. I just don't like the attitude of regardless of form, Del Piero should never be dropped. If Giovinco continues to perform then sorry he starts above Del Piero.

The again, why am I discussing this with you. Your Trezeguet statement was utter ridiculous and has proven you wrong already.
In others eyes, yes. But I stick to my guns that he won't be useful to us. I'm just not gonna bother others with it in his thread for a while. Promise is a promise.

Then again what do I know? I clearly am just a troll with hatred against Del Piero.

Are you stupid or what? I was clearly joking, because that's what people called me when I questioned Trez - a troll. That's why I put ":D". Get over yourself...

Back to the topic, of course DP shouldn't automatically start if there are players in better form and more useful, but why don't we cross that bridge when we get there instead of dramatizing "OMG OMG we're doing so great (based on one game against Samp ), what happens when DP comes back?".

Just relax, and enjoy the game...

nick...one thing man...when you talk about del piero in the del piero thread...and elvin and rab are online..be sure to make your posts precise, correct and don't speculate anything :p....(j/k). Del Piero fit is better than giovinco in a hot form, come on...but don't think about this in the way that one of them must start in every game...we have 3 competitions...giovinco can play all the coppa's..he will develop...he will give dp the rest if necessary. Now about diego's trequartista role...we spend a lot of cash for him, for that spot...i won't use dp there only if diego is injured.
