I love it how people say Del Piero is better than Platini/Scirea/insert random old player here/... without ever seeing a single game of our former greats.
Or better put it this way.... I love it when they say Scirea, Platini etc are better when 99% haven't even watched a single match for any of these.

I've seen Platini play. Not live in person, but on closed circuit television back in the day when it would cost Italian Social Clubs about 5000.00 here in the united states to buy and hook up, looking for "back door signals" to get the games. The books that came with those satellite dishes were as large as the bible.

With all due respect to Alex, who is an all time great.

Platini was a superior player

Why dos it even matter to people? Scirea, Platini, Del Piero. It's not about who is better, it's about what they did. They all left their mark on the club, and new legends will keep leaving their mark on the club.

Not according to some people, and that to me is frustrating.

Somehow, Juve ends when Del Piero retires.

If that were the case, I should have just stopped following them when Baggio left

That's what I call a drama TBH.

No one is saying Juventus ends when Del Piero retires, but I for one, can't hide the fact that things will change and will not be like before once he retires. The player I grew up loving, following, leading the team I grew up supporting, you must know what I'm talking about here, if not then you're not going to understand me.

Too many here have in mind that lot of us will stop following once Ale retires and that's very silly IMO. I have the right to describe how I see things when Ale retires but no one has the right to talk on our behalf and say how we see things when Ale retires. I love Del Piero because of Juventus and I love Juventus because of Ale.

Well, all I can say to that is if a lot of people here stop supporting Juventus once he retires, then good.

Fuck them.

We don't need any bandwagon, fair weather fans in the first place.

Plus, Baggio can't be compared to Del Piero Sergio... seriously. How many years he played for juve 4.5 years? and scored like what 75 goals?
