Totti quit the NT...Amauri himself doesn't know who he wants to play for...Cassano won't be picked because of his potentially disruptive influence on the team...as for Ale, well that's just BS

I think it's good that Lippi didn't pick Ale for Conf Cup, in the long run it will prolong his career. But I do hope to see Del Piero in World Cup.

yea I agree that it was better Ale didn't paly...but still, it hurts to not see Ale in the Azzurri colours...especially when other faggots are deemed good enough to play ahead of him

well he is not fast anymore... but he is one of a kind in dribbling matters.

Always, and even now, he is one of the few players who are truly gifted in dribbling.

DP can pull out crazy dribbles in short spaces and do really quick thinking to where to go in the enemy box. He is slow when dribbling, but he pulls tricks and change directions between defenders, that makes it look weird...and when u notice what he is doing, he has already trickied the enemies..
He is the only one in Juve able to do that...and it has been a decade or so since then...

He really is truly gifted :D And there are just very FEW players with the swiftness Ale has.
Is not the same style of zlatan, or ronaldinoh on his prime, or Messi. Is one of a kind... im not saying he is better than the others.. but is different in his style....if u get what i mean :)

Oh yeh..about what u are saying...yeah he needs to continue with us :) and of course someday he will have to go. Just lets hope there will be space for hm and giovinco..if that is the player u are referring bianconero81.
you surely know your dp material :)...+ rep

As for stats, they don't tell the whole story. Care to divide number of goals scored/assists provided to the ratio of minutes played. I am not talking about Del Piero here, but in general. I can play 300 minutes and score 3 goals and provide 5 assists, whereas someone else might play 1000 minutes and score 8 goals while providing 7 assists. Who is more productive, more efficient then? Exactly! Stats can be misleading, and we are not even taking into account the number of lost possessions, turnovers, etc...
Actually, i did these stats last month and Ale was our leader too.

Del Piero 1 goal/assist on every 104 minutes (32 goals+assists in 3332 min.)
Iaquinta 1 goal/assist on every 117 minutes (20 goals+assists in 2340 minutes)
Giovinco 1 goal/assist on every 119 minutes (11 goals+assists in 1317 minutes)
Amauri 1 goal/assist on every 167 minutes (18 goals+assists in 3009 minutes)
Nedved 1 goal/assist on every 227 minutes (15 goals+assists in 3406 minutes)
Trezeguet 1 goal/assist on every 230 minutes (3 goals+assists in 692 minutes)

Totti returned back after quitting. he said he is available for Lippi. Well if Amauri gets a call from Lippi he won't turn it down (I think). Cassano, I think he matured alot (relatively hehe) he is a great asset and should not be wasted.
But as you said, DP thats just BS.

In my opinion, in todays game, Italy has no choice but to field at least Totti or Del Piero. Without those two, italy looks clueless. There is no spark. Even when they are off form and single brilliant move could turn the game upside down.

Its like France during the Zidane era. He has to be there. Its a no brainer.

Amauri is still waiting on a passport, so Lippi can't call him... and at this point, no, imo he wouldn't turn it down. There's a chance to play in the next WC with a lot of his club teammates... I think he'd definitely be in.

Thanks! Do you know how much time had elapsed?

about ale's goal vs. man united, 1997-8 CL:

"The electricity which filled the autumnal air wavered briefly when Alessandro del Piero tore up the script almost immediately, cleverly putting Juve ahead after just 13 seconds, but once ahead, the Italians quickly opted to sit back". (from man.u fan site)

well, one of the fastest goals in history of football

Forza Ale!!!
