Go Go captain!... Excellent comments from him...For del piero to say someting like this on his website,,,for a player, proves that nedved was very special not just to the fans...

As for Del Piero....all i can say to him is what the african gladiator said in the end of the "gladiator" movie:
"Not Yet, Not yet..."

See you in Pinzolo ;)

Thanks SABSAB, here's also Ale's msg through Juventus Channel. Not everything but this is what I was able to get.

"I feel proud and honored to have played next to Pavel Nedved in the last 8 years. I also feel proud that he was my Captain on Sunday, giving him the armband was the least thing I can give to Pavel.

I'll never forget his commitment with Juventus when we went down to Serie B, it didn't take him much time to decide at that time. Pavel and I passed through a lot, the good and bad times, I've known him for 8years and it was a chance for me to know him more than just a player. He's a great person and amazing friend."

You will join Juventus?

It makes me happy seeing people connecting me to Juventus. I have always said that I want to move to one of the big teams, and Juventus is one of them if not the biggest club. Other than that, I have always wanted to play next to my idol Alessandro Del Piero.

You think you will play next to him next year?

I would love it, although lot of people asking me to stay calm. I remember when I was still in Rome, I asked Bruno Conte to ask Peruzzi to get me Del Piero's jersey. I personally consider him one of the best in Italian history and the world.

It was a very special day.

We wrapped up the season, winning against Lazio and this victory let us reach the target we wanted at the end of this season, that is, the second place.

It was really important for us to end the season with two victories in a row, and above all to win the last match, playing at home, with our fans at the stadium. I really missed it, it wouldn’t be nice to finish the season without having this sensation again. And then, Pavel couldn’t wrap it up, but as a winner.

It was a very special day.

It was special for him as it was for us, and we still can’t believe that we won’t see him in the changing rooms, coming back to start the new season. I’m really proud of having played with Pavel Nedved (also because I do remember him as an opponent, and I can tell you that it’s much better to have him play in our team) I’m proud that last Sunday he was my captain, I was happy to put the captain band on his arm, the same band I’ve been wearing for a lot of years. That was the least I could have done.. I’m really sorry that next year, Pavel won’t be by my side, just think of what he has done during this season: as all great champions he left in a great manner.

He’ll stay with me in all the memories we share, a lot of victories, some defeats, the choice to stay with Juventus even in B category to come back together in A. But above all I’m tied to him through all the moments, that might seem to be insignificant, those moments we lived through together in the last eight years, proving him to be not only the great football player, but also the great man and the great friend.

Dear Pavel, it was wonderful to “put up” with you for all this time!

Maybe it’s not just by chance, that on the same day of Pavel’s last match, two other great football players, Paolo Maldini and Luis Figo, left football.

Oh yes, it was a very special day.

My best wishes for the future for all three of them.

p.s.: as for me, I’ll see you in Pinzolo…

Alessandro

Haven't seen any footballer (at least among the ones I've lived through their eras) better than Ale in putting the words in the right place, someone as wise, witty and intelligent as Ale. The way he's talking about Pavel is touchy, the way he's talking about Maldini and Figo is astounding. This man is great.
