However, he probably turned some older players against CR cos of luck of play, but at the same time , did not offer more than IQ or Amauri on the pitch, so is it the reason to push coach out??
Yeah. Del Piero is such a bad Captain, he influenced everyone against Ranieri. What a terrible charachter he's got. Class is what Ale lacks nowadays.

Even with a statement like this (the one he made) he still tries to convince us that he isn't defending Ranieri. How low is it for someone to say something like that about Del Piero?

This shows that he knows nothing about Del Piero and has started following him ever since Ranieri took over.

To think of Del Piero in such a bad way, thinking he's influencing players against Ranieri because he sat on the bench couple of times is more than low, really.

Ale is known throughout the world for his character and class, this proves again that he has joined the forums for Ranieri and only Ranier.

Amaurismo, FYI, if there's one reason why Ranieri wasn't fired earlier it's because of Del Piero you know. The goals he scored in CL, vs Milan, Roma, Inter. I know it's a team work, but Del Piero has saved Ranieri's ass way too many times. Ignore that now.

Rab, why don't you also count the total number of goals Ale scored in his career? (official goals, i mean).

Apart from the 262 goals he scored with Juve, he also scored 1 goal for Padova and 27 with Italy.
That gives a total of 290 goals.

Inzaghi scored the 300th goal when he was 35 years and 7 months old. I hope Ale will do that before he's 35.7, which means he should score the big 300 before June 2010 :p

I believe he'll do it, if Ciro will continue as Juventus manager.

As for 262, it's because I love counting how many goals he has scored for Juventus and only Juventus.

Diego will not be able to prise his Number 10 jersey off captain Alessandro Del Piero’s back yet, but he already has his eye on the future.

“I will wait, because Del Piero has such a marvellous history and is an idol the world over, so I am sure the Number 10 is in good hands.

“Really, it’s no problem and I will choose another number. When I can, I’ll pick the 10.”

diego will never get the 10..that number is the number of the best player that played for Juventus. No one will be better than Alex. So imo that number should and i hope it will be retired.

No to retiring numbers. Del Piero is a legend, but so were players before him, some of them not as big as Del Piero to the club some of them not far of, but to not let anyone take Del Piero`s place and let us watch with joy yet another great player in Juves nr.10 is insane.

I dont think that in my lifetime I will see anyone who will be bigger then Alex to the club, but i surely dont want that option taken away completely.

I do not agree with retiring numbers one bit. They should be kept to inspire and motivate the players who inherit them.

IMO the best way to honor our legends would be to have statues erected around the stadium like Manure have recently done.
