There wasn't fuss about it because I think Lippi has discussed this the last time. He said he wants to try new faces because he knows what Del Piero is capable of after training him for so long and therefore he wants to try new faces for now before the big matches.

Still, I feel bitter with his choices and for leaving our man out.
i know all this but i still get that feeling in the pit of my stomach that it's just an excuse for all ADP's fans ..... and that as time goes by, leaving ADP out will become easier for the public to digest (exactly what happened this time). And also if Lippi's reasoning is legit, why does he keep selecting all the old guns like Pirlo, Di Natale, Iaquinta, Camo, Toni..etc. I'm sure he knows what they all can do.... This just sux ass

Well Dragula,

im very sure ur suspicions are right...

Lippi is just trying to be very polite and cover his intentions. Its not bad, its ok... but im very sure he is thinkiing about trying new strikers and looking to the future of the azurri and italian football. Alez is class, but he will be very soon a good memory from the azurri. His job is done, you cant ask more for a player than to win the world cup. Even when he is in good form... it doenst change the fact that his time is surely coming soon...and im very sure lippi is naturally trying to find new faces for the future....

thats life, but is ok.

I think lippi will call him for some games.. but the slightlest slip from ADP and lippi will not hesitate to leave him out of the team.

About camo and pilro etc... he calls them because their role is more vital than alex´s. We have other players to cover alex, but camo and pirlo and the likes are not so easy to replace, they are like the backbone fo the midfield which is very important. U could notice this in the world cup, when even when del piero the few minutes he played, he did very good.... he was not like "a fundamental" striker for the campaign (altho this could be debatable because lippi didnt gave him enough time). But you get my point.

We all love the captain.... but we need to accept that his time is coming...more sooner than later.

i feel the same way. if lippi continues to ignore ale, i don't think he will play the next world cup. he won't call him up for the tournament after 2 years out. the first test will be the confederations cup this summer...i hope ale will get the call.

by the way, DP response came yesterday, with hattrick vs. la primavera in the 4-2 win.

(iwant him to score vs. chievo...the match is on my birthday, and just like he scored against them on his birthday in thefirst round, i want my present too. )

Maybe you should start saying before every match that Inter will easily win?
No. It won't work because Rab doesn't believe in Inter winning the whole points. To jinx something you have to believe in it.

I always tell myself that Barca won't win this match (ex: against Gijon in Nou Camp). I've always predicted draws or losses for Barca. I've lost loads of money and lots of point in PL. Then I decided to predict in Barca's favor in order to jinx them winning all their matches but what happened? They kept on winning. Now I'm still predicting against them and I'm sure one day I'll win one big present because of my persistence (aka stupidity) :D

Is this a fact?
What is your proof apart from your personal experience, which i can easily nullify.
Aaah proof

The "jinxing" concept is neither tangible like a table nor abstract like a Mathematics' theorem. In this case I'm a believer, you're free to object it, I don't mind, I don't care :D
