I meant, post Calciopoli. It would be legendary wouldn't it. A movie like ending so fitting.

"Juve legends who stayed on through serie B eventually guided the old lady back to the top of CL/Serie A, before they hung their boots and remembered forever."
:agree: it would be very fitting, but they will never be forgotten. I hope Nedved and Del Piero continue to win things with us after they retire, DP as manager and Nedved as Director of football.... now that would be a hollywood ending!!!

Del Piero: «The supporters were brilliant»
The disapointment on the face of the captain is evident but it is also clear that he knows that the team did their best and so did the public: «We were not lucky. We played a good match, the supporters were brilliant but it was not enough. The fact that we were a man down did not help but we even scored in numerical disparity. We must now try to turn our disappointment into determination for the champiosnhip starting from Saturday against Bologna».

Christiano Ronaldo: "I particularly like [Alessandro] Del Piero; he is a unique and extraordinary footballer - a true professional for all the people who love this sport."
:agree:
Respect for Cristiano. You better qualify tonight.

Just when everyone is down and heartbroken, the Captain is still there.

Cristiano, not christiano. He's one of the three best players in the world and you can't spell his name right. What does the guy have to do?

What the man has to do to satisfy some of you, dribble the entire opponent and score a hattrick?

The man was defending attacking pressing doing everything. He ran a lot, and when I say a lot it means a lot.
Its pointless to discuss this. For some if Del Piero does not score or assist a goal or dribble past a couple of players 4-5 times in a game he did not have a good game..

Del Piero started the game playing behind the strikers, then after few moments Nedved was injured so he started to play more in Neddy's role LM. Then it was obvious that our midfield was taking alot of pressure so he started to cover both LM and CM. We managed to score a goal. He continued to hold Chelsea back. Till the last moments of the 2nd half when they scored. Early into the second he could not continue doing that role, so Ranieri brought it Giovinco and asked Del Piero to rotate positions with Giovinco the team came back to life.

You really don't want to see Juventus without Del Piero...
