20th April 2008, Atalanta v Juventus 0-4

Great Sunday to remember... Once again we offered an excellent performance from the first up to the last minute.

We have completed the three matches week with the victory that confirmes the third place, only four matches away from the end.

Double satisfaction for me ( or better still three times as much ), because apart from the victory, there were three goals, thanks to the lucidity I had in front of the goal and to the assist of my team mates.

As always, victories are the result of team work, great will and determination we demonstrate on the pitch.

See you soon,

Alessandro

fingers crossed he becomes the capocanniere this season, it will force donadoni to pick him for euro's, and he can back up his world cup winners medal with a european championship :D forza juve e italia!!

oh and by the way, this whole scenario about donadoni and del piero, it reminds of when the media was hyping up roberto baggio, and that he should be once again chosen for nazionale, but that idiot trapattoni refused to give in.. i hope for dp's sake, donadoni is a smarter man than trap.

Ranieri: Don must select Alex

Juventus Coach Claudio Ranieri believes Alex Del Piero fully deserves a place in Roberto Donadoni's Italy squad for Euro 2008.

Del Piero has been in outrageous form lately, scoring six in his last three games, including a hat-trick at Atalanta on Sunday.

“I am convinced that Donadoni will call Alex. He is enjoying a great spell at the moment and has been demonstrating his worth for some time.

“But that is only my personal opinion,” added Ranieri. Italy boss Donadoni has only picked the 33-year-old on a handful of occasions since taking over from Marcello Lippi in July 2006.

Del Piero has struck 20 times in 37 matches this season, netting 17 of those goals in Serie A.

But Juve's talisman faces stiff competition for a seat on this summer's plane to Austria and Switzerland from Bayern Munich's Luca Toni and Genoa's Marco Borriello.

Meanwhile, Bianconeri director of sport Alessio Secco is planning for next season with the Italian Press reporting several moves to strengthen Juve's rearguard.

Full-backs in Secco's sights include Catania's Juan Vargas, Lyon's Fabio Grosso, Fiorentina's Manuel Pasqual and, ambitiously, Manchester United's Patrice Evra.

The 26-year-old French international has a contract until June 2009 and talks over a renewal are believed to have come to a halt.

The Red Devils would like to keep the dynamic left-back, but are anxious not to allow Evra to run down his contract and subsequently his value.

It is believed that an offer of around £10m would be enough to end United's indecision and secure his signature.

He'll go for sure.. With Toni-Del Piero up front Italy's chance will be much more attractive than say Quagliarella and Di Natale supporting Toni
