Lucky you, here is hard to find an original shirt and evene if you find it's without number. I have one Alex shirt and all others are without numbers.

Ah same thing. Out of all these 8 or 9kits, half of them 3 or 4 of them are not original. Here it's easy to find original jersey, but not with a number and a name on the back.

Italian Football Federation President Giancarlo Abete had words of comfort for Juventus captain Alessandro Del Piero, who has found himself frozen out of the national set-up.

“I consider Alex as an Azzurri player and Donadoni has clearly stated that he is amongst the candidates to go to the European championships,” he concluded.

I dont think Donadoni considers Alex an Azzuri player, even if he said so

how can Donadoni believe that Di Natale, Quagliarella or even Iaquinta is better than Del Piero? They will never have the effect on a game that DP can
With all due respect, Iaquinta and Di Nartale have been in better shape than Alex this season. But it seems that you can´t see some things. Or you don´t want to see them.

Totti: The Number 10 Position Is Dying

The 'number 10’, deep-lying playmaker, or as it is known in Italy, the 'Trequartista’, is a position that has produced some of the all-time greats of the game.

Diego Maradona, Johan Cruyff and Zico are just three legends who played in this playmaker role just behind the strikers. Until his recent switch to a lone-striker position, Francesco Totti made his name as one of the best trequartista’s of the past generation.

However due to changes in the modern game, there has been a notable decline in classic number tens. Indeed the Italian national team, one of the most prolific exponents of this position, went through virtually their whole Euro 2008 qualifying campaign without using one.

“Zidane, Maradona and Cruyff – in the future we will no longer see any more players of this type,” said Totti.

“I think also of Del Piero, who was another great 'number 10’, but now he always seems to play on the left or on the right.

“The modern game is more about strength and power than about skill and quality.”

UPDATE 1-Italy door still open for Del Piero - Donadoni
Tue Nov 20, 2007 5:55 PM GMT163

ROME, Nov 20 (Reuters) - Italy coach Roberto Donadoni said on Tuesday that he has not permanently closed the door on Juventus striker Alessandro Del Piero.

Donadoni dropped Del Piero in the latter stages of the Euro 2008 qualification campaign and put his faith in Udinese's Antonio Di Natale, who made a difference with his tricky runs and ability to play on the left.

The coach said he will not make any big changes to the squad that qualified for Euro 2008 with a game to spare after a 2-1 win over Scotland in Glasgow on Saturday.

But he also stressed there is still hope for Del Piero and for 25-year-old forward Antonio Cassano, who is trying to revive his career during a loan stint at Sampdoria after failing to make an impression at Real Madrid.

"It depends on Cassano and Del Piero, on their heads first of all and then on their legs," Donadoni told Rai radio.

"My bad luck, if you like, is that I have so many good players at my disposal."

The former AC Milan and Italy midfielder said four or five places in the squad remain up for grabs.

"The lads know my way of reasoning by now," he told a news conference later on Tuesday. "It's a question of keeping motivation high."

With Euro 2008 qualification in the bag, Donadoni confirmed that he will rotate his squad for Wednesday's Group B game at home to the Faroe Islands.

"It would be stupid to approach this game lightly, which is why I'll only field motivated people and assess who is up to playing two consecutive games in such a short period, while trying to make room for those who have played less," he said.

The Azzurri coach betrayed some nerves about the group Italy will be handed in the draw for June's finals in Austria and Switzerland.

"We could be very unlucky and get a really hard group," he said. "With France (probably) in seedings pot four, you can see that luck will play a big role." (Reporting by Paul Virgo; editing by Justin Palmer)
