who is bashing del piero for his performances for juventus?his juventus career has been phenomenal and he deserves all the accolades that he gets from people as far as his juventus career is concerned.

the argument is that he has not been all the great for italy.saying that he's been great for the azzuri on the basis of his juventus career is stupid.they are two different things and they should be looked upon differently.

salman and bianconero are not wrong to express their opinion...but where most ppl disagree with them is the fact that they support Donadoni's decison to drop ADP...that the rest of us feel is an outrage and a slur against one of the greatest players in the history of football

I disagree as I feel that homosexuality should not be used as an insult-nevermind the derogative term "fag", but if you think otherwise then that is your choice.
that's not what was silly, it was your saying that people who like Del Piero as a player are gay.

salman what do you expect, this is a Juventus forum and Del Piero is Juve's greatest icon ever right there with Boniperti Platini Scirea and maybe even more. Del Piero is a recent World Cup Champion. I can speak for myself and say I don't give a .... about Cassano who is just plain sux compared to Del Piero and presents eveything that is negative in football today. Del Piero is admired HERE as the world's greatest because he's part of Juventus. Deal with it ... football is biased sure, but nobody is questioning that Del Piero is ONE of the greatest - see Pele's list, see Jubilee Poll, see all the different awards and recognitions and commericals etc - he's admired because he's a freakin' great legend. The fact that people who are Juventus fans see him as THE BEST or close to it is personal bias perhaps, but a very justified one considering his acheivements.

Please quote where I said that DP fans are homosexual.

I did say that the term used (fag) was inappropriate and offensive.

I also maintain, that yes there is a strong element of homo-eroticism in the male followers of football and their icons.

Not a problem is it?

to be frank, DP stil hav some left in the tank for NT, but to see how Don treated DP, DP should just retired from NT and gives all to Juventus!! how many of u are confident that Italy will win euro2008? before world cup kicked off, i was damn confident that Italia will win the world cup, and I told all my mates and my brothers that I felt this was Italy's year under Lippi...and we knew what had happened. But under Don, and current squad? a big no ...young blood? are u talking about Cassano? mmm..what does he win? how proven is he at international level? just by having a good euro2004 that he is THE one for Italia? Lippi dropped him for wc2006, hello?? for me, i prefer Giladino...partner with Toni..Cassano? i will put him on the stand with del piero on the bench..hehe..

That would be great. If he gives 100% for us we will be in Serie A next year. As much as i like dp it is time to give the younger players a go in the NT. We need his support in this tought time and give players such as pallandino and chiellini expirience playing for the azzuri. Del Piero would give 100% for Juventus and the younger players will represent there country.

Looking at the way he is playing now, I don't think he should retire internationally. That is from a performance side of view. From a personal side of view retirement is something he has to decide. If he thinks he is fed up with international football he can retire, otherwise his performances are good for the first 11 of NT.

I would rather see Alex give one final push for the Euro 2008 championship and then retire from intl football...there is nothing better than going out at the top...but if his situation does not improve than better to quit now...no point of staying the whole way then just be a substitute for players like Di Natale and Toni (with all due respect)
