i know iam about two days late! but still i had no time for those days but i have to say Dp u freak! absoulute quality strikes , Donadoni will b dreaming he chose at least as a sub when its 0-0 v france with 20 mins to go to bust it open for a moment of genius!
Donadoni will have no chance but to pick Ale for the important matches, If Dp was to keep his great form. Serie B would be no reason for him to keep him out, as he's still got Buffon out there, not sure about Mauro though(Remaning or leaving). But we do have World Cup winners in Serie B.

Is it just me thinking that it's better if DP retires from NT now (I mean as a champion and stuff like that)?

Opinions?
TBH, I think the decision and the one who knows much better than all of us is Del Piero himself, I think he knows better whether he can still give the NT or not. We shall see him next year in serie A without Crapello under DD or any-other coach how things will go. I'm sure he'll contribute alot, and he's welling to be part of the Euro2008.

Forza Alex.

It's an easier choice for Del Piero to retire now as a World Cup Champion. But to be honest, he hasn't entirely redeemed himself on the national front. And he can do so now as a World Cup winner - it maybe a tough choice to make, but Del Piero as his character has proven doesn't like the easy way out.

if u ask me, ale has done more to redeem himself than totti in recent competitions, i mean ale had a superb euro 2004, he really made totti unmissed, and at the wc, he still put in a good performance in the limited time he had on the pitch

Exactly, thats what I like about him and even makes him a perfect leader is that he doesnt like the easy way out, but the hard one.

But then again as I said, It'll all be clear If next we were to get back to Serie A, and see how things will be going.

Hi folks, just happened to think about this, does anyone know how long is the contract between Adidas and Del Piero? Or will it last until Del Piero retires?

Cheers :pint:
His contract is somewhere between 2009 and 2010, I think he'll keep the Adidas till he retires.

I just hope we can get the third gold & only silver star on the jersery's before Ale retires as a fitting tribute to him.

Unfortunatley it wont happen the way things look now.

put it this way, in our eyes, we only need 1 more scudetto, and 1 more coppa italia.

i still see juve as the 29 times champions, i will not have a bunch of jelous losers tell me that its bk down to 27

Thats what I was hoping aswell...For Ale to clinch his golden star. Anyway, on my books Ale still won 7Scud, and like he said the "No one is going to take the Scuds from my heart nor my muscle...";).

To think he broke multiple records in that season & they just ripped it away from him.

they rarely advertise him now :(

they'd rather have more of that overrated woman from madrid called beckham and his partner in crime raul.
I don't know about that, as I think Adidas do keep advertising him. However, he owns beckham when It comes to selling Jersey's in Middle-east and Europe.

It hurts, but I'm sure everyone and when I say everyone I even mean the Interista clowny fans do know that Juve and Ale deserved the Scud and they do know that Ale is alongside the like of Ciro breaking records having 7Scud. Something the entire Inter world will need half century atleast to achieve something like this.

I'm afraid It could be tough. Think about it, Del Piero playing in Serie B, defenders would like to humilate him and put him down before he touchs the ball. I've heard that Serie B is really tough league, I'm hoping Ale can avoid Injuries and I'm confident he'll give alot.
