Nocerino: A Juventus Without Del Piero Does Not Exist

Juventus midfielder Antonio Nocerino has heaped praise on team-mate Alessandro Del Piero and says that life at the club without him is unthinkable.

The Golden Boy has had a disappointing start to the season and has scored just one goal in Serie A, a one-yard tap-in against Cagliari in week two.

The 32-year-old was also dropped from the Juventus starting line-up to face Fiorentina in the last round of Serie A matches, with Vincenzo Iaquinta taking his place.

To cap off a miserable last couple of weeks, Del Piero was then axed from Roberto Donadoni’s Italy squad to face Georgia and South Africa.

With Del Boy also suffering contract renewal problems with the Bianconeri, as well as disagreements with Coach Claudio Ranieri, some have questioned whether the club’s record goalscorer may leave.

“A Juventus without Del Piero does not exist,” declared Nocerino. “I hope that he can find an agreement over his contract very soon because he is a great. Del Piero is Juventus.

“Del Piero transmits serenity and calmness always. He is an exceptional person, relaxed, and always smiling. He is always willing to help you – he is a really splendid man.”

Nocerino has had an excellent start to the season with La Vecchia Signora and earned his first call-up to the Italian national team for Wednesday’s friendly with South Africa.

I really get pissed off when i see this!!!
Juve is much much bigger than any player.
Juve was great 50 years before Alex was even born & will be great 50 years after he is dead.

I am sure Antonio is just saying that to boost Alex's confidence.

Forza Alex

I think the personal trainer is a good idea, and easily defensible to the rest of the team. Del Piero's injury back in the day would have ended a lot of careers, and that means he needs to work a lot harder to stay in peak condition. Other aging stars have them too. I'd do it, and if Nedved wants one too, I'd give one to him.

Amauri calls Del Piero

Palermo’s Brazilian hitman Amauri has urged Juventus idol Alessandro Del Piero to come to the Stadio Renzo Barbera.

As the Bianconeri captain’s contract talks fail to progress, there is increasing speculation that he could leave the Old Lady.

Rosanero owner Maurizio Zamparini admitted last week that he would love to see Pinturricchio in his squad and it seems that Amauri has taken the idea to heart.

“His arrival would be good for us without a doubt,” he told Tgs Studio Sport. “We’re talking about a great player with bags of experience – he could play an important role.”

However, the ex-Chievo man was keen to stress that he was happy with his partnership with summer signing Fabrizio Miccoli.

“We have a superb relationship,” he stressed. “He is an unpredictable player who can create something at any time.”

There have also been rumours that Amauri may quit Sicily for Milan if the Rossoneri are willing to put £10m on the table.

“I’m not up to date with the whispers, but I have three years left on my contract at Palermo and nothing else interests me,” he stated.

Amauri is currently fighting to regain match fitness after a spell on the sidelines injured following a long-term knee injury last term.

“The international break has been valuable to recharge the batteries before the Udinese game this weekend,” he revealed.

“I’ve been a bit nervous in the games I’ve played this year because I was out for so long, but I just need to play more matches.”

Sadly this matter didnt end, just yet and its already abusive, we had enough of these dramas (Neddy's retirement, Camo's, Trezequet's and Chiellini's transfer, Criscito's loan etc) we really dont need another now, it will only hurt our team...
