well there are old school juve fans who don't immortilise alex as much of us new age fans do. They seen players like Platini and Scirea and their effects on the team.

And not to forget the thing with Baggio and some sections of the fans.

I'm not diminishing what Alex means to this club however we can't expect everyone to support all the players. Also another point is that the club will supersede everyone
I have started supporting Juve before Del Piero was signed. Ever since the late 80s I've been following the black and white religion.
Baggio was a great player, an outstanding sportsman and a terrific Juve legend BUT, he did not give to the club as much as Del Piero. Whether it was number of goals, performances, games, trophies, sales..etc Del Piero wins in such comparision without any question.. That is a statement from a person who warships Roberto Baggio.

I agree with Rab, you really can't hate a Juve legend or some who who's given alot to Juve and be called a Juve supporter. You might be a Juve follower or admirer but not a supporter.
Lets take a player like Birindelli for an instance. This past couple of years he's been putting some terrible performances and seriousluy someone should be kind enough and ask him to retire. Although I get upset at him when he doesn't play well, I can never hate him. He was there for the during the good and bad days. he's carried trophies when we won and shared tears with us when we did not.
Another example is Alissio Tacchinardi, although he is not a Juve player now you cannot impossible hate him. During his time he was Juve's vice captain. He had been kickin for the biancioneri shirts since 1994. A year after Del Piero's arrival. Destroyed by Capello, he'll be always remembered in our hearts and minds as a true Juventino.

Del Piero backing Azzurri

The dropped Alessandro Del Piero has insisted he will still be cheering on Italy in this evening’s crunch Euro 2008 qualifier against Georgia.

Del Piero was controversially left out of the squad by Roberto Donadoni, but the Juventus ace is hoping that his teammates will collect the three points in order to keep his own Euro 2008 dream alive.

“I’ll be in front of the television, cheering on the boys against Georgia,” he underlined. “We all want to qualify and I want to be there in the Finals fighting for the European crown.

“I’ll be back for my country.” :touched:

However, it’s not been an easy start to the campaign for the Juventus legend who has had to deal with alternating form and a dispute with club officials regarding his contract extension.

“I’m really calm about everything, I’m training hard and just concentrating on my next League game against Genoa,” he continued.

“The affection that people have been showing me recently is something which I am honoured by and I would really like to thank everyone for their support.”

He will be back to the Azzuri and Juve stronger than ever.
He's done it in the past and will do it again very soon.
Forza our loved Capiatno :pint:

Those who question Ale starting or wanting to lower his wage, it's all just normal, and i don't think i have the right to call them haters.

But when you read people questioning his loyality to the team just because he's refusing to accept a 3rd time pay cut to his wage is of course unacceptable.

I also add my voice to yours, Iaquinta and Zanetti have been much better than Ale so far this season, i can't disagree... it's a fact.

and no, i don't believe a Juventus fan could hate Alex, thats why I doubt if they're really Juve fans like couple of members here if not more.

when you make fun of a player or when you question his loyality specially someone like Ale, then yea i might think they're haters.
Now this is reasonable. Good post.

forza del piero!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! now lets see him do his job cos when he does he is unbeatable.
Sure Forza DP, though I was harsh on him sometimes but the last thing I want to see is him in another jersey, let's forget about starting or benching him for now, and just support him

Maybe he's asking for too much money, but if Zebina and Boum deserve 2.5 Mill each, then I cant blame DP if he asked for 10 mill !!

What about merging this thread with the official one?

Alex didn't sign anything yet, this only creates confusion for those who see it for the first time...

I know most of you seen this already but in case someone missed it, there goes.
It's just unbelievable how much class this man has got. And he is funny as fuck too. I can tell that without being able to comprehend a lot of Italian.
