Glad to see Del Piero represented Italia to rcv the team of the year award, he's d Italian Icon! =)
but i wonder how come Del Piero doesn;t manage to win the european footballer of the year? even at his peak, he managed to the 4th spot only. DP at best not among the top 3 is just amusing..
also, just a topic of interest, if Capello stays with Juve and Del Piero goes to MU, do u guys think MU will handle Del Piero a no.10 shirt? I am sure he will guide MU to champions league glory too..

i heard that Juventus sold Baggio was not just because Del Piero could replace him, but the main reason was juventus didn't have $$ at that time, so they had to sell Baggio??

According to Corriere dello Sport :
Alex wants to play till 38 and therefore he is asking for contract extension till 2012.
Juve's management is pondering an extension till 2010 !

What do you think?

if his body can hold up and his productivity does the same then i would see no reason why not. honestly he reminds me of cal ripken, an iron man draped in greatness.

although the statistics dont favor older players, you never know what is going to happen, if he does not become a financial burden to the team by not producing then KEEP HIM.

lets keep ale.

Rami likes threesome, but the avatar can hold only one....
 Mark u read my mind :D

either he's a player or he's torn :eyebrows:
torn

Back to the issue: I like Alex, but an extension till 2012 is a bit long for his age, keeping in mind that he is the highest paid player in Italy...
As Dru said, extension till 2010 will be great and then if he is still keeping the same level, Juve can extend it for additional 1 or 2 years
