nope, i believe it was the italian press, a goal scored around the left side of the pitch or on the left part around the semi circle outside the box, made famous by del piero because he used to score from that position so much
Yeah, they still sometimes call it the Del Piero zone and the goal "goal a la Del Piero", even if the goal or the trick is done by some other player :agree:

All Black Alex

*what a joker* :D :D

It was a meeting of two sporting legends: Alex Del Piero, icon of the Bianconeri, and the New Zealand All Blacks, kings of international rugby.

The pair met at the filming of an advertisement for IVECO in which Ali Williams and his team mates were appearing. Alex is a self-confessed rugby fan and was overjoyed to swap shirts with the All Blacks second row.

Last week IVECO officially unveiled its sponsorship of the New Zealanders in Montecarlo, adding the All Blacks to the likes of Juventus and Ferrari as world-class sporting icons belonging to the FIAT group. Involved in the Bianconeri’s win over Cesena, Del Piero was unable to join the All Blacks and Felipe Massa at the gala, but he made his presence felt with a recorded message in which he, a newly-crowned world champion, wished the rugby players and their Ferrari counterpart the best of luck in their imminent campaigns.

Lets get one of those huge New Zealanders to play cb for us. Be as much good at football as Boumsong but at least he would scare the opposition more than us.

BTW, I wanted to write this before but I forgot.

Anyway, my (girl)friend's boyfriend is from Italy and is attending college in Torino. He came to Zagreb for a week, he arrived last friday, and we all went out for the night that friday.

Anywho, to cut a long story short, he's a die-hard Milan fan so we discussed a lot about Calcio, needless to say he despises Inter. So we talked and talked and we got to Del Piero...After all the bad words he had to say about Juve, I was shocked at the affection he showed when he talked about Alex. He called him "Italy's son", how he, and almost everyone in Italy, respects him enormously and he actually said that if he ever sees him in the street he would stop, hug and kiss him right there on the street! :D

Yes Sir, we have a captain to be proud off. :pint:

On a side note he bought me this really cool Juve scarf so, grazie Lorenzo. :toast:
