Rab, that's a great article with Oasis. Hope he is indeed Alex' mascot, that will be great. do you think Del Piero asked him to arrive to the final ? Does Alex have any superstitutions?

mnementh....I think Alex Invited him, as long as he's sitting next to sonia and Ale's friends, then I think he was Invited by Ale.

Elvin...Ignore him, you're too class for him:pint:

snuupy...I thought in your prev post you said case closed:howler:...yet you keep on barking asking for a bone...This place doesn't fit you...as far as I'm concern there's nothing in the title that has to do with Zlatan or Crapello...

Soo I say get the fvck out of this thread, you're no Alex fan nor you care about him, we have too many threads out there, go click on one of them and play far.

Back to Alex to change the atmosphere after such a bad smell from a dog.

If Alex was to come on from the bench, then It wouldn't be bad...We'll have fresh legs and a player with his quality that can change the game.....But, If Lippi ever thought of starting him alongside Totti or alone, then It would also be a wise choice....He sure wants to erase the bad Image of 02...So conclusion is that I expect him to play tough and give more than 100% whether he was to start on a bench or on the field.

Good Luck Dp...:pint:

I always want Alex to start but this time I rather he didn't. Because if Italy loses they'll use him as a scapegoat, and for his sake I don't want that. What I think will best taking this into mind :

  • If Italy is leading and attacking well --> sub him in to finish France off (60th).
  • If it's a draw and coming to penalties --> sub him in like against Germany (105th).
  • If Italy is losing --> sub him only at the very very end. First sub in Inzaghi. I'm not a big fan but he can score from the bench too... let him have his chances first. Only as a third sub put our Alex in for a miracle (80th+?).

Also, I think that the most natural sub is Camo for Del Piero, but Camoranesi might not be starting (De Rossi might) which kinds of mixes up everything. You never know what to expect with Lippi and I assume that if it will go to penalties, Totti will be kept on the pitch, just like the case with germany. The other sub Lippi likes is of course Toni for Gilardino which I expect to probably happen again , even if Toni explodes and scores.

well you know, it could really be in a sense. If he goes down with Juve, it will be a long time until he has a major game of his carrear again. Perhaps only a Coppa final or something. sadly, this relegation business will also hurt him in the award sense... being nominated highly in ballon d'or etc.

you cant just sub someone on and hope for a miracle. then if the player disappoints he looks stupid and if he succeed's lippi looks like the man. you have to have a gameplan and you have to know what time is the right time to get del in the game

Not many players get the chance to face there demons! Dp has the chance v france in a WC final even bigger than a Euro to avenge his darkest hour and make it his greatest hour and b in the history books not as a villian or underperformer of italian NT but of a LEGEND and HERO! Either way he is a lucky man to get a second chance at the cherry! everything else is up to him !

yeah, i was so thrilled whn dp scored..it was amazing..i hope this wc final will bring a good ending to dp and italia..italia deserves it more than france..i will be waking up at 2 in d morning to support italia!!~ although i gota work 10 hrs the next day..it's worth it..
i think lippi should stick to its germany game plan and not to use dp as a starter but as a super sub when the game glued to 0-0..i think dp will explode and will be do great..either assist/goal
let dp exorcist his darkest nightmare and become a hero for italia~!
forza dp, forza italia!~ everyone unite now...i am very touched by every hero of azzurri...they battle like men out there!~

I hope that we will have a good result,so that he will enter the game while we are leading,if he won't start the game.

But I know that he can score, and if he manages to find himself infront of Barhez alone,or to strike with a free kick that would be a great goal.
