this is what Diego Maradona said:
Talking about the best 100 world footballers ever he says "Here he is, he is different from Zidane, he likes to play, he feels it in his soul; between him and the French (Zinedine Zidane), I stay pick him (meaning DP).

Who was Maradona btw LOL
Lol what maradona said is opinion, and those unreliable facts say he isn't. Talk about wishful thinking :D

You accuse others of not watching our games, yet if you did yourself (which I'm sure you did but overlooking it atm) , you'd know that we played more than handfull of our recent games in any formation but 4-3-3. In fact we just switched back due to our cbs absence.

But even in 4-3-3, you say Borriello is crap, but more fit to the role. let me guess, it's because of his physical presence, isn't it? that he could challenge for crosses his way and blah blah..
Other than a sad, fluffed shot at abbiati, tell me when he managed to attack the opposition goal in anyform? Ironically, even DP got a header hitting the post in a match.
His understanding with Vucinic is far more beneficial than Borris playing the target man.

No matter how you want to look at it Raz, DP is still certainly not useless, and to not take anything away from our strikers (including fckn Borriello) unfortunately Conte is yet to partner them properly and used them against right opponents (funny but sadly it's a weekly decision becuase our strikers are limited in their own way)
We switched back to 433 not because of our cb, but because we got Pepe back. Without him we don't have anyone who would make that formation work.

And yes Boriello is way more fir for the role of the central striker then DP in 433. I'm not saying he is good there, but he is more fit for the role. I don't think DP would do anything of note if you would put 433 in fact people would moan that he is used out of position.

Even though Del Piero may be well into his 37s now, he remains one of the great players
Again, opinion. You ask for facts yet you only bring opinions to the table.

Either our cb's or pepe's absence, we haven't played 4-3-3 on a consistent basis. and there's no point in whether Borri is fit to play the role if he's not good there.

Watch the goal that the Capitano scored today at the trainning :touched:

More class in his left toe than all our squad combined.

He's awesome. His brilliance, class, composure and experience can save this season for us. Not as a starter but he can definitely be very useful to the team at this point given 30-45 minutes every game.

:howler:

I thought we had a thing going..
And I thought you were a mature guy.

The guy's a legend who is gonna end his career at Juve in a few months. Neither you nor the other guys like KO and Raz seem to understand the sensitivity of the case. I was reading the last few pages and I have to say I'm so sick of guys like you. I personally think Alex can still contribute to the team which is to a great extent because we are so obviously lacking efficiently good players upfront (stats are self evident) but you think he's past it and that's understandable as an opinion. What you don't seem to understand is the timing of saying something like that and then while these are the last moments of Alex' time at Juve, provoking his fans to constant silly discussions like the last few ones all the time.

His fans are biased, so true, but noone expected Alex' last season to be a sad one like this and his retirement which was always going to be a emotional moment seems finally very imminent. Moreover, this is a thread they can express their emotions (anger, excitement, bias) in but every time someone says "he should have played" there's always a Raz or you or somebody else to look for facts and reasons which, at THIS point in this season and more importantly at this point in Alex' career do not matter at all.

Grow the hell up.

Go back and reread my posts. I never said he shouldn't be subbed in, that he can't contribute with anything or that he is a bad player at all. Alot of emphasis has indeed been put on the fact that I feel he is a legend, and that playing him too much might sour the last moments in the club because of his physical level.

If you actually cared about what I've been writing instead of stereotyping me because I wrote he's past it, you'd even notice I suggested we name one of the big stands after him at his 700th game.

The entire "not one of the best footballers ever" was simply me having some fun with that guy and his definition of fact / opinion.

But yeah, based on your post here you probably won't even read this post because you've branded me on the basis of the incredible amounts of bullshit Rab has been writing in here. Good night.

If you read what I wrote then I'll just have to assume that you chose to interpret it in some way that makes me look like a DP hater. Have fun with that.

Where in my post did I even imply that? No one here is a Del Piero hater. I'm just questioning the timing of you guys doing something you interpret as "making sense" and I interpret as immature & ill-timed trolling.
