Why did Conte tire his ONLY option against Bologna instead of keeping him for the much more important Roma match? He kept his only option for playmaking, Pirlo, on the bench and he even used Giaccherini there. Why didn't he do the same with his only option to replace Vucinic?
What don't you understand? Conte doesn't count on him at all but it was a Coppa game, Ale was always going to start games in Coppa. Now that Vucinic is injured and there is no other player with similar characteristics, he might get some time in more important games too.

Anyway, I think Estigarribia will start against Roma. Imo, he was always planned to start that match. That's why he didn't start yesterday. Conte kept all the Roma starters on the bench (except those who don't get to run much, the CBs) and I think Esti is one of them.
After he kept the starters out, he played those who he thought are the best ones, which means that he preferred Krasic to Elia and Del Piero/Quag to Elia/Toni/Iaquinta.

In my opinion it's a mistake to prefer Esti to Del Piero for Roma, but I believe that's what will happen.

As much as I enjoyed seeing him play last night, let's not go overboard. He really wasn't that good.

Now, who'll be the first to call me a DP hater?
He played 120 minutes, and guys here are saying that he should come in last 20 minutes. He was one of the best in the pitch. Yes you are DP hater.

I think DP may start 1 or 2 games in the coming weeks up to and including the Udinese game (because of Vuci) but I seriously doubt that he'll start vs Roma.

Please, please just make a compilation of his game last night. I beg. Don't forget that cute moment in this gif too:

It would be a mistake to start him in the Udinese game, but as for the rest of the games until the end of the year, he's my first personal choice, followed by Giaccherini.
