No coach had the courage to strip off Dp's Captaincy and this guy wants Del Neri to do it. Why? Because Ale doesn't deserve to be starting.

What's the connection I don't get it?
Wow, even by my biased status towards Del Piero stripping him of the armband would cause more harm than good and it's pointless really we've not got anyone who is ready just yet perhaps Chiellini? but still he's not the influence Del Piero is potentially off the pitch. Even if he does not start every game he should still stay as Captain.

Del Piero said he has not problem with the bench, every time he is on the bench he yells and gives orders, encourages like a captain should. Del Piero does not deserve any of this but as we know they will all be on the band wagon next time he saves our ass.

This has been the case here for the past 5-6 years.

I hate to write him off because I know he will usually prove me wrong. But the likelyhood of that happening is rapidly decreasing with his age. His attitude and work rate was definitely not up to par on sunday. That's just being realistic. I wouldn't mind phasing him out a bit and changing his role to a sub. He won't be around for much longer and we need to start getting used to his absence slowly.

This for example is a post one can not dislike but appreciate it even though it's not what I want but the man is stating his mind and things he sees without being harsh and disrespecting the player.

These kind of criticism are always appreciated and always a classy posts to read. But when others come in here just to insult the man and call him names then this is not "You have to accept my criticism" but more of a provocation.

Wasn't Del Piero the captain in 2005/06 when he was mostly a bench player? (Who was our captain when DP didn't play?). It didn't go bad back then.

I disagree with the poster who suggested to strip DP off the captaincy. It will only create more problems and won't really bring us anything good. Let him be the captain while he's in Juve. Gigi can be the captain when DP is on the bench. There won't be any rivalry between those two.

I don't know who the guy is between Ferrara and Zambrotta.

Montero or Maresca?
Tacchinardi had #20 in those years. Then he took #3. That's Tacchinardi on the picture.
Maresca wasn't in Juve at the time (He was in West Bromwich and then Bologna) and when he played for Juve he had #16 and #14.
