Well, he looked kinda bad for this game and had 2 weeks of rest...
I don't think he looked that badly, he usually plays like this, or at least has been for quite a while. He's just exposed by the fast players that are trying to make quick plays off of him and instead he's just hogging the ball.

Anyway, he was rested for this match, if he plays 90 minutes twice a week, now that would be painful to watch.
As much as i know Ale, too much rest isn't good for him...he'll look much better on Thursday (but i don't think he looked that bad yesterday...he was ok. I even read some articles this morning that say that he was dangerous and elegant as usual). Anyway, it's like after he gets 2 weeks of rest he's a little bit out of shape cause he didn't play for "long time" (it's wierd, but..) and then the match after he explodes. I know this scenario very well, it's hard to explain it but i hope he'll give a show vs. Lech.

Congratulation for posting the most retarded post of the month. :analcanon:
Each to their own, Azzurri...I can read on these forums plenty of posts from various members who feel very similar to me about DP. One question is Should he be starting??? My feelings on the matter are well known and clear. If he is to be benched...then it is obviously in the clubs best interests, to choose a captain who is going to be starting games. Its not just in the dressing room, in training, away from the sporting aspects of the club, where a captain shows his worth, its on the field. And I doubt you could find many Captains who regularly start from the bench. Nor could you find many decent teams who play with a 58 year old starting in attack...

When people like you and seven, meet my words with 'you know nothing about football'...or 'how retarded'...it just makes you guys seem too blinkered, to even attempt to see what I and many others see. I have no desire in playing insults...but discussing this matter, yes.

I have nothing against people fanatically favouring certain players. But when the fanaticism turns to tunnel vision, it makes such people useless for discussion. My support is for the club, not solely for del piero. A true champion...but a million miles past his best.

Suggesting Buffon as captain with Chiellini vice captain is logical, not retarded, nor an indication that i don't know the game or our team. I see nobody else with leadership skills...Melo too mental. Momo too shit. Marchisio too quiet.

try to be objective. I know it doesn't feel as good as letting your feelings run riot, but for the sake of discussion, its more useful.

Who said to revoke him of the armband?:howler:
Del Neri should have stripped DP of his captaincy during the summer, given the responsibility to a player who deserves to be starting every game when fit. Personally, I would have given it to Buffon, with Chiellini as the vice captain....by the way, who is our vice captain??? or when DO is subbed off, or needs the oxygen tent, to whom does he give the armband???
No coach had the courage to strip off Dp's Captaincy and this guy wants Del Neri to do it. Why? Because Ale doesn't deserve to be starting.

What's the connection I don't get it?

If he did go to MLS, I would understand. He would forever be a legend here, its that simple, it would just be heartbreaking not seeing him retire in our shirt as a one club man effectively.
