He has been patchy at best, when he has played this season. His chances of getting into the azzurri squd have been zero. Regardless of injuries to Di Natali AND Quagliarella, Lippi would be a fool to call him, especially when he has continually excluded Cassano, whose performances this season make him seem like a different class entirely to DP.

The azzurri team is poor enough with adding in DP to make them even worse.

he was pathetic last night. and has shown such a total lack of pace and a very clear reduction in his shooting prowess, all season. He knows he won't be pushed out the club, so he can get away with such shabby performances, more easily than other players...a spent force. who should be moved slowly, into an ambassador role for the club.
