Yeah I also questioned that decision made by Capello and maybe he just didnt need him on the field. I just read those declarations made by Cap that someone posted a few pages back and he said that he put Zalayeta in because he could also help defensively -My previous comment was kinda general because you guys have been saying screw Capello for awhile now
How do you know that Capello doesnt like DP? Maybe he does like him but think that other players will be more effective to win matches, and Capello is getting paid to win matches not to keep his relationship with DP flawless. Ive never seen any declarations made either by Capello or DP saying that they hate each other.

dp lovers... dont you ever think.. that... putting alex on the 81st minute of the game is an insult to him?... he's no supersub... and we were leading 1-0.. it was not a comfortable lead i must say... so we would probably launch long balls because it was the end of the match and we still need to defend that slim lead.... long balls were meant for zala... that's why he was introduced... and relax, it's only our first match of the season.... there are more to come...
Giovanotti you say that Capello dislikes DP cos he does not play him. Then I guess most coaches dislike about 10 - 15 players from their teams cos they rarely field them right?
And if he fields a player just for the sake of fielding him, then he would be disrespecting the team not the player, which is obviously worse (unless you're just a player fan).
And one final thing. As I mentioned in the other thread, Zlatan might not have had the best of games but he wasn't that awful on Sunday night (even the usually harsh Italian media gave him a good average). If he had scored that goal which Trezeguet blocked, we would be talking about what a great match Zlatan had cos he created a lot and scored a goal.
