Just to pique the interest of the other forumers, i managed to dig that out.:)
I think he's got a point about Ibra. Though we can't know for sure. Ibrahimovic hasn't been much better than Del Piero this season, yet we want to get rid of Del Piero and build a team around Ibra? Doesn't sound logically to me.

Seven Zlatan was not better than DP? Oh please. If you don't believe me or the other fans who say that at least believe the journalists who all gave him a better season rating than they did to DP. I actually had saved the stats somewhere and will bring them forth if you guys want ;)

Zlatan is not up there with Eto'o, Henry, Ronaldinho and Adriano, you know. Quite frankly Zlatan looks like a bad rip off of Adriano.

Zlatan still has a while to go till he is at Adriano's level, but he has all the makings it takes to get there. He is a better dribbler then Henry Eto and Adriano, but his shots let him down on so many occasions.

IF you could sell him, yes. FACT is their are better more influential players, then Del Piero.
Del Piero was one of the most influential players around the whole 12 years he has played with Juventus including this past one. There aren't many players out there who can be as influential for a long period of time.
I agree there are games where he played carp.. But remember he is human. When he comes from an injury you don't just expect him to play 100%. He has to play alot to gain back him performance and touch to the ball. Just look at nedved. He was injured and when he came back eh played few games in a very crappy performance. After that, he regained back his performance.
The only two seasons that Del Piero couldn't be helpful for Juventus are:
1998-1999: when he had that damned injury which finished his season
2003-2004: When he had a series of injuries which stopped him from playing.
Looking at it: those two seasons Juventus didn't manage to win anything. I am not saying that Juventus are only Del Piero. Not at all, we have a team of champions and Del Piero is surely one of the top champions we have.
It is good that we get younger players to build our future but we shouldn't neglaect the older players who are currently are playing well. Those young players should learn from the older players.

I don't agree. Zlatan is a brilliant young player. He has few things to work on though; Behaviour (temper control), Finishing and more team work.

"being the MVP of the season"

Because I cant believe it, Cannavaro was more important, so was Zlatan. He scored 16 goals, congrats for him, 4 were penalties, and it was 14 in Serie A, so 10 goals all together, is that the strike-rate of a great striker at a top club? My how standards have fallen...
Look how she calculated them

Would you Please tell me how much Rooney and RVN scored this season...

So what? I like 2 teams? I like the Azzuri as well, thats 3, oh and I like (not support) Barca, Bayern, Ajax and I have a liking for San Lorenzo in Argentina...

Your an idiot because you have 1 view about Del Piero, you can only see 1 side of the coin, you see the 1 thing he does right and dont see the 10 mistakes before it.

FACTS

Del Piero makes Beckham look consistent

In ANY OTHER TEAM ON THE PLANET he'd of been sold, or RELEASED by now. He is not good enough for ANY top team anymore. Its sad I used to like him, but it really is pathetic this thread.

"Official Del Piero Thread"

Is Del Piero, Juve's greatest ever player? All this thread is, is aload of people sucking him off...FFS
Girl, you really need help with this one.

Del Piero makes Beckham consistent? Perhaps in your Manure-Roma gloryhunting wonderland. I doubt you have seen Beckham in Madrid, and if you have you wouldn't have made such a claim, sparing yourself the embarrasment that every other misinformed person has to endur. Beckham, apart from a few good performances in the past two years, has been quite disapointing if you ask any sane Madrid supporter. He really has not added anything to the team apart from some good freekicks, something they did not even need with Figo and Zidane in the team. Then if you look at his performances as a whole throughout the past two seasons you will be left wondering what happened to him since moving to Madrid, cuz as one Spaniard put it frank "there are 10,000 better players than Beckham." That is stating the truth, and it's much more believable than the crap you posted above.

The fact is Del Piero has had a good season this year and was the most decisive player in Serie A, something that can be interpreted in two different ways but still illustrates that he's really not as inconsistent as you make him out to be. Another fact for you- Del Piero is the captain of Juventus and is the epitomy of class when it comes to behavior and professionalism, unlike Totti who could use some lessons from Ale. Despite what you think, everybody can see Del Piero is a true professional, therefore it's a fact....if you want FACTS.

Sheesh, I can't stand fans of other clubs bashing our captain......especially when they have no clue what they're talking about.

Yes indeed. That is the same guy who made a fool of himself by stating Zlatan doesn't have much technical ability and his wondergoal against AZ with Ajax didn't take much "skill."
