Dinho targets another Ballon d'Or

Ronaldinho’s fine form for Milan means he isn’t ruling out a challenge for his second Ballon d’Or and he reveals why Alex Del Piero is “an idol.”

Many thought the 28-year-old was 'past it’ when Barcelona put him up for sale, but the Rossoneri have already been rewarded for their investment.

He is their top Serie A scorer with six goals and netted in last night’s 2-2 UEFA Cup draw at Portsmouth.

“I am very happy to have scored from a free kick, as I am training very hard and the results are coming,” Dinho told the official Milan website.

“In the past I had the opportunity to play in Spain as part of a squad full of champions, but I am having so much fun at Milan because they are a club that have many fantastic players.

“It is a joy for me to help my teammates by giving my contribution. I have to keep training this hard so that I can score more goals and important assists for the squad. I’m in great shape.”

Some have even suggested that if keeps up this level, then his comeback could be sealed by the Ballon d’Or, which he already won with Barca in 2005.

“The most important thing for me is to win titles with Milan, then if this recognition comes I will certainly be happy about it,” he grinned.

“Coming here I hoped that things could go well, as I am a positive person. Life, however, is like that, it is impossible to always be in good form.

“I am happy to have started the season in the best possible way after a terrible year at Barcelona. This was better than I expected and every day I can see that it’s improving even more.

“At Milan I feel like an important player, exactly on the same level as all my teammates.”

Ronaldinho’s free kick silenced Fratton Park and he is already looking forward to a spectacular showdown with Juventus in December.

“Del Piero is an idol to me. I have been following his career for a long time and consider him a great champion.”

The Bianconeri captain has also shown himself to be among the best set-piece specialists in the world.

if i remember correct it was palladino who was angry with one team mate that did not give the ball to him ...

i guess del piero told him that he has to be quiet and not to show his anger over his teammates
