In spitting maybe..Totti wasn't playing for a half of the season thanx to his bad behaviour. That player could help his team a lot but with such unbehaviour he showed, he is doing much more disservice than utility to his team.
Ahh, c'mon, he played better than DP in the last 4 seasons perhaps 5.
Eventhough he is a B!tch, he does perform well, quite the opposite of respectful Del Piero.

Then you are a pampered, "good times" fan that has lived one of the most succesful era of the team (Del piero era) whinning and moaning without having a point of comparition with any Pre-Delpiero juve. You dont know any of Juve without DP stick in it....

and if you call bad memories what DP has achieved with Juve in the last eight years your sense of what a succesful football team is totally out of proportion.

how would you feel if every year you "almost" made it. every year going to the finals so hopeful with everyone saying that you would win, yet every year the same thing.

whatever you guys say, but del piero (with most of the team) didnt show up for those games

For the last few years Totti has been way better than DP, if you can't see that then you are blind.
I agree.not only better than DP,in these last few years he's been the best Italian player.

come on Rab.I personaly hate Totti but can you deny that he is one of the best(may be the best)playmakers in the world?you can't compare DP with Totti because of the number of the titles that Ale's won and Totti hasn't.DP's playing for Juve,a team that is fighting for scudetto and CL each season but IMO,now Totti is even bigger than Roma.believe me if he play for a big club he would win the golden ball.

No Hoori, I can't deny Totti being one of the best Footballers around the world, I don't hate Totti, he's been one of my Fav Players. Yes I'am Juvenitno But Totti Has been one of my Fav.

But when you say Totti has been better than Dp the last 5years, than I should disagree here, Not because of the titles Dp won or anything, But of the Season 01-02 and the season 02-03 where he almost Lifted the Champions League Trohpy, I know it was all made by the team But Look at the Stats and Check how many Assist Dp had and Goals and Compare them to Totti, Though Totti Is world-class player and Each single fan would wish him Joining them, He wasn't better than Del Piero the last 4 or 5 years, I can say they have been Equal So far.

:D bastard. by the way is it my fault that i only have bad memories about del piero ? i started following juve after the 1997 loss to borusia
hmmm very intersting.. You say that Del Piero failed to perform in a Borusia's match.,.. hmm well there are many people who can't remember that match remember his absolutely ASTONISHING goal..
That was the best goal scored that year.
I am expecting your reply saying that a goal does not justify his performance, well let me tell you something, he is an attacker .. he scored a goal.. we conceeded 3.. Its not his problem..
On his shoulders, and the shoulders of other heros, we managed to reach the final 4 times. Lets see, we won against Ajax in 96, we lost against Borusia in 97 where he scored a beautiful goal in the final, we lost to Real in 98 with an offside goal mind you pippo wasted some good chances in that game, we lost to Milan on PKs... Hmm now that is a dispointment that we didn't win the cup more than once... But it is quite an acheivement that we did reach the final 4 times in a short period. You just cannot say that our team failed to perform or failed to make a presence. You also cannot blame a player who actually performed and played really well the whole season for losing the final either on PKs, or an offside goal, OR even a match where he scored your teams only goal.

This only shows that you just don't remember any good thing for Del Piero. Whether you like or not, he is one of our winning cards.. and he is a valuable player to Juventus DURING THIS TIME (not in the past). This year he scored 3 goals in the CL and 14 in the serie A, mind he didn't play all matches. And even the matches that he played he didn't play them 90 minutes.. You cannot say that he wasn't decisive during the last 1/3 or the season, because he was. You cannot say that he failed to perform against big teams because he did perform.. Examples just look back. Even during the Liverpool game.. Ok he wasted a one-on-one situation but that was due to brillience keeping by the goaly. Infact, in that game he scored a 100% legal goal that was disallowed. The return match, it was a very tachtical match by Pool PLUS capello didn't play his cards right.
During the Milan game... well I won't comment on that.

Donny, please dont write post like this last one. im begging you.

Its fun to having a debate about DP, but when the quality of your arguments deteriorates so much, it becomes boring.

Your past post sounding like a 5 year old child who has been deprived of his lollipop.

Said with all due respect for you.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. And people wonder why we have these Del Piero debates after stupid comments such as that.
Excuse me Andy, but I am free to think and state whatever I want.
Besides, Zidane, who did NOT play well during the entire WC 98 (and even got a two-match ban), was HAILED as the hero in his country for his display during the final (Let me draw a parallel with San Siro's showdown - even Lapo Elkann, like everyone else, acknowledged it, that DP was the hero there), even if players like Thuram, Barthez, Djorkaeff, Blanc, Petit gave massive contributions to France's triumph.
You may disagree. But you certainly cannot state that what I said was stupid.
Del Piero is statistically the most decisive player in Serie A, although statistics do not mean everything. I admit that I exaggerated Del Piero's merits, but that was just to emphasize Don Bes's incongruous claims. You find it normal when someone says "Del Piero did nothing the last 5 years", whereas you find my comments "stupid" and not worth debating... What a pity you are so biased, Andy. I had respect for your ideas.

Say whatever you wanna say,but Del Piero wont leave us and he is our captain, who is showing that his form grows up. 30 years doesn't represent any barrier for a player to show his creativity and skills.
