I'm seriously considering not following Italy matches in Euro If that fvckface called Donadoni will keep Ale out.
If he plays well he'll 100% play at the EURO, if he plays like he did in the last month or so, he may even start the matches together with Toni. His importance for the team atmosphere is huge after legends such as Totti and Nesta retired. Experienced genius in good form, idol of half of the Italians. Donadoni can't allow not to call Alex.

Alex is the second best Italian scorer in serie A this season behind Totti. Since Totti retired from the NT, Alex is an obvious choice.

actually it was quite a shitty penalty, if the keeper had guessed the direction it would have been simple to save
I think the keeper jumped on the right before Del Piero took the shot. I thought that Dp made a move that made the gk think he'll shot right (goalkeeper's right side) and after he saw the keeper went on one side his job was easy and he didn't need to shot it strong and under the bar.

We Have To Start Games Better - Del Piero

Juventus captain Alessandro Del Piero reflected on tonight's 1-1 away to Catania, which saw him score a last-gasp equaliser from the spot.

Juventus captain Alessandro Del Piero was the hero once again tonight for his club, even in a match the Bianconeri never gained control of. His last minute penalty was only good enough for a 1-1 draw away to a feisty Catania side.

Following the match, he talked to SKY about his impressions of this encounter.

"I think the draw was deserved," he said. "We created a lot of chances, we put a lot of pressure on them, in the second half we kept them in their own half, they never had a shot on goal. I think we gave it our all and in the end we are quite satisfied."

About his penalty, he said: "There was a lot of tension there, also because [Catania keeper Ciro] Polito had saved a penalty of mine last year in Serie B. So it was tough, but it went well."

Asked whether he thinks Juve have problems away from home, or if the team have been penalised by certain refereeing decisions, he said: "I don't know, I think episodes always have an influence on games.

"We have to make sure that the episodes are in our favour, and not, like tonight, having to go behind on the opposition's first shot on goal. We must be more determined at the start of the games. Tonight, we were a bit less determined than them, and they were also helped by the crowd, they started very strongly."

Sometimes people just like to discredit players for no reason. But with Del Piero it's no surprise.
When have i ever discredited Del Piero, i just replied to Elvin who said it was "A brilliantly taken penalty", and i just said it really wasn't. Obviously i'm still grateful as other players might have cracked under the pressure, but still does not make the actual placing of the shot any better.

Oh didn't notice that if it happened, then i take back what i said about it being a shitty penalty, as it would have been a risk to shot with power where he might have missed

Taking a penalty for such a team like Juventus in the 90th min and scoring is indeed brilliant thing like Elvin called it.

Yes the scoring of the penalty is brilliant, but he said the actual taking of the penalty was brilliant, which it wasn't. Anyway i'm going to drop the argument cause it isn't worth it

He was nervous as anything you could tell he hardly ever pauses on penaltys. When players Stutter and stop keepers must stay still cause all power in strike will be lost and as long as keeper dosent commit he will have a great chance of saving. Cause clearly Del Piero was hoping keeper commited like he did.

pwned :D

It was brilliantly taken. He got the keeper, he totally got him with that long step he took just before shooting, forced the keeper to dive and then safely placed it in the net. Brilliant.
