Bah, congratulations to Canada. You guys totally outplayed us, nothing seemed to go right for us tonight. Well deserved win for you guys.

On a side-note, I don't know how much credit Danny Heatley gets from you guys but I admire the guys passion and work-rate. Also, I can't remember a time when this guy was available and did not participate with Team Canada in an international tournament; no matter the competition he seems to be ready to represent his country and I admire that

Disgusting final, even USA-Canada would've been better. I don't even now for whom to cheer for in the final  But the swedes are funny, more they concede, more they seem happy and satisfied, at 3:0 main coach Gustavson (i'm not good at swedish names :)) exchanged a joke with assistent manager and seemed relaxed as if they were heading to the final :D
That's very typical Swedish and it gets on my nerves actually. They're so damn content with everything. Even the commentators were praising the team effort towards the end when minutes earlier they were criticizing the players for not getting enough shots on the goal in the 3rd period.

We're lucky to have so many hard-working players. At least Heatley matured from the big-headed youngster who thought he was huge until he killed his teammate when speeding in his Ferrari.

Oh, and thank you, by the way.

Didn't wanted to make a new thread, so I'll just continue here. We scored a badass goal yesterday against Swiss (around third minute), but started playing only in the third period and couldn't get it past Gerber more than once. We'll need a lot spirit to have a decent game against Canada, but I can see us doing good on Monday.

Ah, this tournament. Is it a big deal in Europe? They show the games in Canada, but I'm not sure about the States...it usually plays second-fiddle to the playoffs, regardless.

Good luck on Monday: Latvia 2-1 Canada. :D

Well hockey is the main NT sport in our 2 million country, I'm not so sure about the other parts of Europe, but here the whole country goes crazy for two weeks. Of course this tournament always suffers after Olympics, but in these circumstances I see better chances for smaller teams like Latvia.

It depends on us, if we'll really want to win and believe that we can do it, you'll have no chance :p
