He should start using a 4-3-2-1, christmas tree formation. Would fit perfectly with the squad. We need a midfield 3, especially if we want Koop to play and be useful, same if we ever want to get Douglas Luiz back. 3-4-2-1 is good but with only 2 midfielders that means they need to be defensive and no chance for Luiz and Koop.

Muani
Yildiz - Conceicao
Thuram - Locatelli - Koop
Cambiaso - Bremer - Kalulu - Costa

That is my main concern about continuing with Tudor, squad needs a major overhaul again to be able to have quality and depth on key positions to fit his preferred formation and tactic, and i don’t expect him to change it much, at least not the 3 CB’s base, but would sure like to see him showing some flexibility by adapting to the players available and making adjustments upfront, hopefully we’ll see some samples during the CWC.

good better him than Palladino or De Zerbi
Or Spaletti, or Pioli, or Italiano, or Mancini… i mean all of our ‘realistic’ alternative options were either underwhelming or potentially way more costly while offering us little to no guarantees, so might as well just stick with Tudor in this case if we are again only aiming for minimum objectives and hoping in a miracle.

From my point of view, this decision shows that the new board is not adopting the stupidest possible tactic of removing everything related to the previous management. This is the worst path we could take and probably the most expensive. Another revolution is not a good idea. We have several elements on which we can build a great team (Yildiz, Thuram, maybe Koop). Tudor did not impress that much, but with the material he had, he probably did the maximum and it is hard to point out any wrong decision to him, apart from the match with Parma.

I would have preferred Palladino. Tudor managerial career seems to be one that he never unpacked his suitcases and not the best of results. Palladino though less coaching experience more upside potential. Plus he has accomplished more than Tudor in the few years in serie.

I see Tudor as only a caretaker for 1 year at the most. We still make to it CL but inevitaby a better solution is needed and starting over again. Palladino indeed might fan out but see a greater chance of long term success. Both are low cost options.
