Isn’t he also the one that just walked into tudors house and was confronted by the wife? I remember reading one member posting this back in 2009 or 2010. Very creepy story about just walking uninvited into tudors house in Croatia and the wife confronting him.
WTF! :lol2:

He was thrown into a toxic atmosphere, outside the top 4, after two humiliating defeats to Atalanta and Fiorentina, with nine matches left and three away matches against direct rivals like Roma, Lazio and Bologna. The squad was weak, plagued by injuries, and all odds were against him. I gave him a 10% chance of making the top 4.

Yet he did it, and he did it well. In the mini table for the last 9 rounds, his Juve finished only three points behind the best team in that stretch, champions Napoli (21 vs 18 points).

The fact that he was given a new contract says more about the short-term ambitions of this club, as confirmed by this summer mercato, and it’s certainly not his fault that the management chose to stick with him and expect results from this mediocre squad.
So far he has delivered and not a single criticism holds up.
Except the one staring you right in your face.

He's Croatian and his system blows.

I am not sure if you're joking, but I kinda remember something similar. A new member, who turned out to be a Milan fan, was saying something along these lines. Tho I don't remember the part about the wife confronting him, it was definitely something about hanging out with Tudor.
I'm gonna search for these posts :D

If I remember correctly there was a party in the house and he just came in into the kitchen and the wife saw him and said who are you? And the guy said is Tudor here? Wife replied no and he walked out

Entire thing was very creepy

Couldn't find it, but I found some old interview with Tudor:
Luka Modrić is the right player for Juve... He's a complete player who could cover many roles in almost every part of the pitch. His technique is amazing.
Watch out for Mateo Kovačić from Dinamo. He's still just a kid, born in 1994, and he still needs 2-3 years to become a real football star. He's got class and imagination so he only needs to grow up with time. He seems like a true prospect.

Damn, if only. Then again, if we got Modric, Delneri would have benched him for Sissoko or Aquilani.

Igor Tudor on tonight’s victory against Atalanta: “I liked many things in tonight’s game, it was a serious match in some ways, which we were expecting. This last training session was useful and positive for all the things we've been working on. What matters to me is seeing a good team, both technically and tactically, but also united as a group, with the desire to go into every match against any opponent ready to compete. In sports, you should never give the impression that someone else is stronger, the truth is shown on the pitch. The transfer market? I don't talk about the mercato, there are still 10 days left. Will Dusan leave? he has quality and he's a Juventus player. Gatti? He is coming from a difficult period, having been out for months with an injury. It was right to give him some playing time today.”

This is the first season I can remember in a long time where there are basically no expectations of us winning the Scudetto. Especially from the media.

With Motta and Giuntoli, it was always unlikely, but there was at least plenty of hype around Motta after his work at Bologna.

With Max, you’d go into the season expecting disappointment in the UCL but a strong league campaign.

With Pirlo, he lacked experience, but we still had CR7 and a stronger squad overall.

With Tudor, I genuinely haven't seen anyone suggest we have a shot at the Scudetto. I am curious to see if the players have a bit more freedom to express themselves without feeling crazy expectations and pressure. Just to be clear, I am expecting another 4th place finish personally. And if Napoli don't win the league, I expect Conte here next season.

@campionesidd , how about a new bet for this season?

If we're placed anywhere between 2nd and 20th in Serie A on 31 December 2025, you win.

If we're first on the table on that day, I win.

Also if we're joint leaders of Serie A with 2 clubs or more then 2 clubs on that day, you win.

But, if we're joint leaders with one more Serie A club on that day, I win.

Who is your top 3 then? I think we should be comfortable to get 3rd. If we struggle to another 4th whole season it gives me vibes that Tudor wont last the season. For all the Motta issues last season, Bremer injury and also all his backups getting injured complicated our season. Obviously injury issues are part of football but if we dont have a season ending season for any important key starter, we should be able to get 3rd imo.

And when i look at the table and the teams, i think everyone will have a setback. I expect Napoli to struggle with CL football every week. Inter has a rookie coach too. I think Milan are miles off to compete high level. I personally think Juric will flop and will be replaced midseason and i think in general Atalanta will have a bit of a setback after Gasperini exit just naturally. Likewise Roma with Gasperini will take time to settle, heck i wouldnt be surprised if the experiment wont work out and Ranieri comes back again midseason. Most other challengers are yo-yo clubs. Sarri was almost leaving Lazio this summer and then re-decided.

At this point, I still think Napoli and Inter are ahead of us. Possibly Milan too, but I don't care about the difference between 3rd vs 4th.

Until we have a midfielder who can boss a game, we look far too dependent on passing wide to Yildiz or Chico and relying on moments of individual brilliance.

Since he took over mid season, Juventus won 5, drawn 3 and lost 1 Serie A match and an average of 2 points per game. One would think with a proper pre-season working with a team that is not drastically different to what he inherited, you could expect a better performance in the league this year. At least thats what I hope.
