the use of words such as moronic makes it disrespectful.. we can keep debating for ever, without insulting each other.
How is me saying being a muslim is being a moron any worse than christians and muslims telling me I'll go to hell for not joining them? Is it worse to say someone's a moron than to condemn him to eternal misery and pain?

I don't see any paraphrasing nor explanation. You said muslims are not a majority in Lebanon where on the contrary they are a majority. And guess what, they are becoming more and more a bigger majority.
I havent paraphrased yet... but i certainly did explain.. I'll say it again, Muslims in lebanon are looked at differently.. Shiia'a and Sunna are not the same in Lebanon.. you know it, as well as i do... So there is no use in reiterating facts such as "muslims include Shi'a, Sunni, Druze, Isma'ilite, Alawite or Nusayri" because we all know that.. what some of us dont is that shiia'a and sunna are treated differently in Lebanon.. If they were considered one, they would've got the lion's share of the political presence in Lebanon UNDER THE NAME OF MUSLIMS, and not shiia'a and sunna seperatly.

Let's look at it this way. There's this guy who comes up to you and says he's got this great book. He tells you he can't write himself and so he has had someone writing it down for him. The opinions expressed in the book are coming directly from god. What would you do? You'd problably call him a lunatic and get as far away from as possible straight away.

As for the Islamic expansion that did come by force, so no need to talk about religious tolerance here. Spain was conquered.
I wouldn't want to discuss the first paragrapgh with you because simply put, I am a believer and you are not...Nothing I would say or do, would make you change your mind. Only you could make that judgement. I only wish that you read more into it, and seek understanding, because calling it a book and the guy a lunatic, doesnt really sound that you are well informed to pass a final judgement...:pint:

As for the second, I remember that there was a thread about "Jehad", and I have talked about it extensively, I will try to dig it up....

Very true, I believe the last Muslim state in Spain fell in 1492.

Not that all this have any bearing to my argument of "introduction of religious tolerence" it was just a comment:D
Well that's how it works. Can I get you some coffee? :D

Same can be said for the Christians as there are Orthodox, Catholics, Maronites, Protestants, Armenians with different sects etc.

Which in the end makes the Shiites a majority and the actions of hezbolla totally confirm their intentions.

There are 30% Shia Muslims, and 25% Sunni Muslims so more than any of the sectors you've mentioned.. so there is no comparison.

I dont undrestand how Shia being a majority makes them have intentions of the kind you are talking about... I said that IN LEBANON shia and sunni's are viewed differently mainly because of Hezballah's presence.

Wel, execuse me, but not one member in this forum has the authority to send you to hell, while you have the whole authority to insult all the believers in one post...

Which is true, I don't disagree with you here. And look at what hezb alla does or to be more exact, what they don't do.

Yeah, it is kinda the same. However, since you don't believe in God, the concept of hell is not relevant to you. Meanwhile 'moron' is understood equally by all.

I think you understood from the earlier post when you said .
I wouldnt mind having a debate with you on Hezballah, since i know where you stand in regards to this issue, but i would like to remind you that we did have a similar debate not so long ago, and my last comment in it was "At the end of the war, we will all thank Hezballah".

Hezballah has never caused Lebanon any harm intentionally, and will never do so.. After all its called al moqawama.. I dont agree with all shia'as, but i do agree with Hezballah's cause. Wht they do in Lebanon, wht they've done, and wht they will do is by far better than any of wht other lebanese done, do and will do for lebanon.

I could go on and on, but since its not that the right thread for it, i will not proceed.

This is YOUR opinion as a non Lebanese. I can gather hundreds of thousands of Lebanese who disagree with you.

And again, many of the people who were standing with hezb alla during the war are now only regretting their stand. Why would anyone thank Hezballa? Nothing happened, nothing achieved and as I say all the time, not any war achieves anything. So no, me and many other will NOT thank hezb alla, not now not ever.

Why do you think im not lebanese?

Lebanon is 3,826,018.. so the hundreds of thousands you've mentioned arent that much .. lets not forget the 15 milion lebanese around the world.. you cannot just neglect their right in saying their opinion.

You mean many who have stood against hezballah, are now with hezballah after wht they saw. NOTHING WAS ACHIEVED!!!!

Well as i told you, I know where you stand in regards to this issue, so i will not even attempt to make you 'thank' hezballah... in fact, Hezballah is in no need to be thanked.. History will thank Hezballah for ever.

Well, I know that many civilians in Lebanon lost their souls in that war, but I think it was worth it because the southern people have gone back to their lands, which wouldn't be the case if Hezbollah didn't stop Israel...
