Milito: "I want to kill Balotelli!" Saturday 16 January, 2010

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Diego Milito admits playing against Mario Balotelli and alongside him makes no difference. “I still want to kill him!”

The Inter striker has been a sensation since joining from Genoa in the summer and you can see him in action against Bari LIVE on ESPN from 19.45 this evening.

“You see Mourinho as a different Coach from the others at first, because he is so good at communicating with the media, and so from the outside can seem distant from his players,” Milito told Sky Sport Italia.

“Instead I found a person who always tries to listen to his players, is very close to the squad and that was a wonderful surprise for me.”

The Argentine hasn’t entirely changed his opinion on Balotelli, having played against and alongside the fiery teenager.

“I must be absolutely honest here, when I played against him – and he knows this – I wanted to kill him! Now that he is my teammate, I still want to kill him!

“That’s what Mario is like. He certainly needs to grow, is a lad who requires maturity and time. When he understands where he is and starts to listen to the people he ought to be listening to, I am sure he’ll become a fantastic champion. Everyone knows his talent.”

Samuel Eto’o also publicly criticised Balotelli for his attitude this week and Milito reveals he has bonded better with the Cameroon striker.

“Eto’o has settled in very quickly and I think you can see that he is happy, that he tries to give his best and we are forming a good partnership.”

I thought that was a joke when i first read the title but he really did say it :D
Fair play to Milito for being honest about it. It really shows how much of a dickhead Balotelli is if his team mates can say that about him in public.

This is my favourite quotes from someone's blog about balotelli

normal person said:
You’re an idiot . It’s a tense atmosphere and for weeks the entire Italian football world has rushed to your defence against these vicious verbal attacks, so you ought to win them over with your undoubted talent so the only remaining critics will be the bigots. Instead you take the biggest test of all, the Derby d’Italia surrounded by those ultras who have turned hating you into a sport in and of itself, and you act like a prize pillock.

Within 60 seconds of stepping on to the field, you’d clattered into a Juve player in an accidental collision, then visibly berated him for ‘diving’ when he was simply hurt. To top it all off, you then flail around acrobatically clutching your face when Felipe Melo lashed out an elbow that struck you meekly on the shoulder. That’s just embarrassing . Of all nights, of all people, you had to prove your detractors right with a display of unsportsmanlike behaviour and arrogance.

I know I'm going to take a lot of heat for this, but whatever.

Anybody know that Balotelli was on a sitcom once?

Rab, can you change the thread title to "Se Saltelli, Muore Balotelli", please. It sounds better :D

This thread will be a legendary thread until Balotelli dies. Well, maybe we'll find another chant when he dies.
