This is my last input on the matter.

The chants in the stadion are meant to be offensive to the black player, and at their root is racist intent. They really believe- for the most part- that a blackman can not be an Italian. It is not a matter of opinion, but just a plain sad fact.

If you rub shoulders with racist or fail to challenge them by citing that you are an individule and unaffected by them, then you are deluded. If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.

It seems to me that on this site there are quite a few who openly show their racism, but hide it behind the banner of supposed humour. The, "I have a friend who is black!" type.

It is shameful to Juventus in the stadiums of Europe, and shameful to Juventuz on these pages.

Basta.

before you go all mlk, the intent is to get him off his game to intimidate and bother him. is it a crass way to do it? absolutely. is it racist in a sense they re only picking on him because of the color of his skin? absolutely not

Folks that always play the race card are racists themselves, especially if that's all they do is label everyone else a racist.

:agree: This has gone too far!! It was a CL game and our qualification on the next round was played there, not Balotelli.
Those chants were completely irrelevant in FRANCE, it just shows the level of our fans and a Juventus fan i m very embarrassed and ashamed of what they did, again... They are proving our critics right!

Of course they are not only picking on him because of the colour of his skin alone, but also because he is a good player for Inter, and you are correct in saying that they want to put him off his game, but they also do think a blackman should not play for Italy, and that is the real hate behind the chants and intent of those chants.

    Ipso facto, racist.

Folks that always play the race card are racists themselves, especially if that's all they do is label everyone else a racist.
    Just to silly.

Are the fans- for the most part- racist?
Is the chant, therefore, racist if the are using as a racist chant and they all know it?

calling it racism is same with calling people anti-semitic just because they are criticizing acts of murderer state.

what are people expecting here? positive racism? is he immune because he is african? zlatan sei uno zingaro is ok but this is racism? fans are chanting because he is a prick who has shady past and playing for inter.

    keep jumping

Who said Zlatan sei un zingaro was ok? Don't put words in people's mouths. That chant is racist, while this Balotelli one isn't. Only shining knights of moral will call it so.

Folks that always play the race card are racists themselves, especially if that's all they do is label everyone else a racist.
That's what I'm thinking too. Well put.

People who look for racism in everything are just as bad as the racists. They keep bringing up racism and keep it alive when nobody's even thinking about it. Should Balotelli be free from insults from the fans because he's black?
